link to widescreen page

Post by johndela1 »

on the main page there is a place that says click here for wide screen

the anchor tag's href attribute is widehome/home.htm and if I put that in my browswer it works, but I can't click on it

I use a Mac with Safari for this. When using Firefox the link doesn't even show up.

Hmm, first time I hear about this...it must be a phpBB thing. I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

Ah I see what you mean. I'm not sure what that does there...I always use this link: http://www.waisays.com/index.html

What's the exact url of the widescreen page?

I can't access that file, but maybe it helps to replace
widehome/home.htm
with
http://www.youngerthanyourage.com/widehome/home.htm

Not sure though...

I don't think that is the issue. I can't click the link in the first place. It doesn't seem like functional html.

if you get rid of the span tags on the html it will work (I'm talking about http://www.youngerthanyourage.com/index.html )

it would be good if this site could be valid html, being that it is a academic/scientific type site

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... index.html

shows many errors

being that this site is mainly an informational site and not going for some super web app UI it shouldn't be that difficult to have a valid HTML front end.

I'd be happy to help. If you want to talk, let me know. But in this case, the span tags are messing up the link, it seems.

Yes, that page will go, as the entire website will be updated and adjusted.
