The WaiSays homepage. It's placed on the word "Google" now.

Huh?
There is about 4cm of space in between, right? (or not in your screen?), and I can perfectly type something in the first google search box, unless I first move over the navigation bar. Do you think the space really should be wider? (thats a lot of space... ("oh, that's all already?"))

Hmm, actually on my screen (1280x1024) in Mozilla the bar falls on the word "Google", and in IE even 2 cm lower...
So if anything it should be higher up. How does it look on your screen?

Much better. If you could bring it up by the same amount again, then it would be fine on both Mozilla and IE. What does it look like on your screen?

There's about 10 cm between the bar and the google logo...
Ive further increased that space, but isnt it a bit too much now?

Hmm, I think I see what the problem is. The bar's location is determined by the distance between the bar and the bottom of the window. It would be better if the location would be absolute, and not relative.

Yep, but try MenuVerticalCentered='top', since the top never differs. Not sure if 'static' works, it says in the comment, but it's not in quotes, you could try that too.

hey guys, I know that you struck out on wikipedia, but I just found out (from acne.org) that there is a new wiki site being developed on acnewiki.com where people will be posting their diet/holistic ideas

maybe someone here would like to contribute? :)
