I have been on it for 9 days, but out of those 9 days 5 i've been eating 1 meal of cooked food, yesterday I haven't ate any munch, and I have been drinking tropicana in those past 9 days. I'm starting to notice immediate effects of eating munch foods, I feel very addictive to them but I will quit, the only problem seems to be at work, because they serve a great buffet that's practically free, everyone thinks I'm crazy for not eating lunch. Some social anxiety happens and me being skinny and all people may think, "oh this guy is starving himself eating only that?", I get sort of an anxiety pressure to eat. I been eating munch + wai for the past 3 weeks, I notice over eating results in immediate loss of energy, and the after effects on my skin too. I guess I have proved to myself 100% without a doubt that food does give me acne, before this I was a bit in the dark as I never munched without alcohol in the picture. I feel great being 3 weeks sober, and am very compelled to try 3 weeks wai with tropicana OJ since I still can't afford unpasteurized OJ. I think I need a full time job, my jobs hours are not stable enough.

Your coworkers will rapidly get used to you having different dietary habits.
Its not scary to be different.

I know it's not scary to be different, I've done it, it's just that so much employees come and go through this place, and recently I've thought Id just be kind to everyone I pass by and I made friends with a lot of people. Now every day I feel I have to validate myself and I'm so sick n tired of talking about this, I've even come up with a lie, and tell them it's a special doctors diet my doctor gave to me, the lie grows and they ask more questions.
I have recently started eating raw nuts, this is the only time I can find in shell nuts in Christmas season, almonds, walnuts, hazel. I suppose I can crack a bunch and bring them to work.

It's so easy, I just tell people I have food allergies and have to eat a strict diet consisting of mostly fruits/vegetables (the 'fruit vegetables' like cucumber). There's not many questions they can ask me at that point..

Well I guess I had not told the story in it's entirety, When I first started the job weighing 145lbs, injured myself and stopped exercising, lost 11lbs (134lbs), started the wai diet, 3 weeks in I took a 3 month leave, come back to work and I'm 118lbs :O for me I never ever really noticed the weightloss, but others initial reactions seemed stunned. Anyways I reread your smoking and food article, and I come to think that I must quit smoking to avoid food cravings. Here is why. When I first started the diet and quitting smoking/drinking I had dedication, 2 weeks was easy, I think I went to 30 days before I quit the diet, but had failed at quitting smoking before the 30 days and,. I thiiink until I started smoking I begun having cravings for pizza pops, I literately smelled them everywhere, even in random garbage cans odd...
I was thinking of not smoking to help aide my diet, also I'm thinking in turn the diet will aide my quit smoking.

I'm really loving my energy levels, they are insane! I feel like I'm high all the time, only problem is maaad farts.
monday I was pretty sick with a flu, pretty much forced sleep from 5am sunday, to 8pm monday, work up twice for about 9 hours total, drank 900ml of OJ+OO each time, felt better... but now I tried to sleep 5 hours for work at 2pm tuesday, layed there for 4 hours mind racing, managed to get 1 hour, now currently I can't sleep again it's 4am, in the last 28 hours I slept 1 hour.... I need to get my hours some what normal, today and yesterday was the first time in a long time since I had such trouble sleeping.

Things seem to be heading in the right direction

Too high intakes of energy in one meal is the most effective way to derail this (insulin) system.
You will not derail this system if your energy intake is in accordance with your blood energy levels;
meaning that whenever your blood energy level goes down a little, you consume a little energy,
to the extend that your blood energy needs to be replenished.
If you do that, you will be fine regarding diabetes.
If you are not so good in doing this, a higher fat intake will help you, as it makes you rely less on sugars / protein for energy.
So, all you need to do, is pay close attention to your energy levels,
and act accordingly (regarding energy intake).

Got it guys thanks, do I need to be taking them together? can I perhaps say eat 3 bananas then drink 3 sips of oil maybe 30 minutes or more later. Sometimes I'll forget then I think, damn well I missed my window... ill just go without.
Well I'm 18 days sober, 90% wai (tropicana OJ) since then also wtih the exception of last saturday I ate 2 meals of sandwiches and mashed patatoes and salads, corn and such, ate some pizza pops, energy drink and sliced pizza on some day last week. I place blame on quitting drinking, and also fears of going broke (I haven't worked in past 4 weeks and counting due to seasonal availability) and, fears of losing weight in the future, but I think that is all cleared up now I hope. I just hit the 130lb mark YAY I think its because I haven't worked and sat around for the past month lol but hey it makes me feel more normal. My skin is looking pretty good it's almost the best I have seen it since discovering this diet, 3-5 easy to pop loose pimples in the past 2 days. Last month I had a lot of tight pimples that really hurt to pop and left really red marks.
Although I feel I have a bit on my plate to handle, giving up 2 addictions, trying to gain weight, and financial problems I feel not so bad, I don't feel a need to do something stupid, I want to stop making mistakes and learn how to avoid them, I'm kinda getting used to this. I really feel no need to drink as in the past 6 months. I think I'm well equipped as I always been observant of my habits and have found enough reasons to not drink, and what my triggers are. Now I just gotta learn how to deal with all this knowledge of myself.

I place blame on quitting drinking, and also fears of going broke (I haven't worked in past 4 weeks and counting due to seasonal availability) and, fears of losing weight in the future, but I think that is all cleared up now I hope. I just hit the 130lb mark YAY I think its because I haven't worked and sat around for the past month lol but hey it makes me feel more normal. My skin is looking pretty good it's almost the best I have seen it since discovering this diet, 3-5 easy to pop loose pimples in the past 2 days. Last month I had a lot of tight pimples that really hurt to pop and left really red marks.
Although I feel I have a bit on my plate to handle, giving up 2 addictions, trying to gain weight, and financial problems I feel not so bad, I don't feel a need to do something stupid, I want to stop making mistakes and learn how to avoid them, I'm kinda getting used to this. I really feel no need to drink as in the past 6 months. I think I'm well equipped as I always been observant of my habits and have found enough reasons to not drink, and what my triggers are. Now I just gotta learn how to deal with all this knowledge of myself.

I have been reading a lot of others diets and dieters opinions, and sugar seems to get a bad rep. Does this reputation stem from an imbalance of sugar:fat ratio?

I think it's more because people associate it with candies or because they eat a lot at once.

Most of the studies done are on high fructose corn syrup, a cooked, unnaturally processed food.
I spent time doing a low fat raw vegan style diet and thought highly of the importance of sugar:fat. Its true that you can eat a lot of fruit at one time without experiencing fungal issues or hypogycemia, if you leave out all the fat completely from your diet, but I experienced a great many other problems that came with eating large fruit meals... I think the small meals are really, really key, because the fat is important, and our bodies do use sugar well. I don't have experience with lower carb diets, so I don't know what the issues people experience on those, but again, many are looking at other types of sugar, most of them cooked, and some do have issues with a higher ratio of fructose to glucose.

Ok, I just don't know what to say to people when they say sugar is bad.
Well back to my diary, Well since my last entry on wednesday, my acne got a little worse, but getting better, that was day 4 and today is day 8 of my wai diet (not 100%) old scars are starting to fade, skin is looking less red, today had 6 pimples, hoping to clear pretty good by next Saturday. I'm in for the long run this time.
Day 21 on being sober, and boredom is kicking in, but I'm pretty happy with the progress I made so far *pats back*. XD
