Mineral Oil

Post by Mr. PC »

So I finally (kindof) took RRM's advice to put Vaseline on my skin. Well, I couldn't find any Vaseline, but I found baby-oil, which is mineral oil. Ingredients are

paraffinum liquidum
isopropyl palmitate
aloe extract
tocopheryl acetate
parfum

My specific issue is skin fungus in the sides of my nose.

The first day I put it on, it worked very very well, made my skin look way better everywhere I put it.

Second day, after waking up it seems the skin on my nose was getting worse (these white spots grow)... so I decided to put it on only one side. Later, the spot I put it on was worse.

What I read is that paraffinum liquidum, and the other ingredients, shouldn't feed fungus, so maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I should keep trying? Can anyone say what they know about these ingredients? There's a lot of fear-mongering on the internet because they're 'unnatural', so I'm looking for proper info.

Ok, my observation was mislead; the next day, not using mineral oil on either side, both sides became worse... so some other factor is at play that I'm missing.
