Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Sun May 10, 2015 Picks up bow and resumes archery. Wages war on Pimples!
9:42 + 2 large pimples (finally) with pus + 2 mini pimples = 4 total
10:00 300ml oj (3 oranges), 2 bananas (seeds removed), 300ml oj (3 oranges)
13:00 5 raw almonds
14:00 250ml oj (2.5 oranges)
18:30 1 banana, 2 apples
19:00 300ml oj (3 oranges), 300ml oj (3 oranges) + 1 yolk
20:00 40 raw almonds
2:30 50 ml water
2:35 - 7:58 wake
---
The bow seems heavy, it always does after a period of no practicing. Just like a piano, the keys are heavy.
Rather I feel I am always thirsty and oranges are not enough. It seems a daunting task, I don't feel like shipping boxes of oranges home.
The box looks heavy, the price looks heavy. Water is heavy, it is pricy, lowest cost per lb of fruit is still oranges, thin skinned oranges. Fruit-water makes eating this way expensive. Thin oranges are chancy, it feels like soury at higher chance, while thick oranges appears more sugary, blah the mind imagines it, better get a pH meter for the next kitchen apparatus. Raw almonds, store bought in a bulk, gives a crunch but leaves a rocky road sediment on the gums of the mouth. I've depleted my supply of C-oj and chocolate. So I am moving on to making my own arrows.

10:30 1 banana
10:30 - 11:15* to make diluted juice = 400 ml oj (4 oranges) + 400 ml water + 8 tsp sugar + 1 tsp oo
11:20 330 ml of diluted juice
15:05** 470 ml of diluted juice
17:45*** 1 smoothie 275 ml = pineapple, orange, ice + sugar? (might be artificial, it was store bought, I told them to make it without yogurt.)
22:30 1 banana, 30 - 50 raw almonds
12:00 - 7:38 2 pimples are scabbing, 1 is getting bigger, the other 1 remained the same.
---
* I ran out of oranges.
** I ran out of home made juice.
*** Between stores and vending machine, this was the closest option of ingredients that looked like real food.
Cost = 18 eggshells, the price of 3.5 oranges yielding 350 ml costs 18 eggshells.

Title: Don't Play with food, and leave Macaroni out!
Tue May 12, 2015 (not Wai, b/c I ate junk at the end of the day + not enough volume of real food)
7:38
8:50 1 banana
17:20 1 banana, 1 orange
21:30* 46 g of 3 chocolate peanut butter cups
22:00 60% of 470 g of macaroni salad
23:00 40% of salad, and 2 spoons of coleslaw
24:00 - 8:00
---
*In my play time (pleien time),
when I was really pleien (where the original word of play supposedly derived from),
In the play class, I got hungry at ~ 8:45pm when I saw those white papery paper cup for cup cakes used for baking,
all I could think about was food for a split minute,
and I made a paper cup cake in a delightful fury,
glued with sparkley pompoms for the texture of bubbles, and pink paint abstracting pink icing and red velvet cake.
Later, I came across a vending machine,
and ohh is nojunkfoodarchery-aytundra absolutely furious.
2 days in the forest playing archery and I succumb to junk or fall in a puddle of mud pie.
How do I get lost in a clear forest? and not go back on muddy concrete?
-----
Some thoughts that floated by during class:
How does hunger and food affect play behaviour?
How long does energy supply last on liquids versus solids?
Do kids play differently on different diets?

Wed May 13, 2015 (not Wai, b/c cooked meat)
8:00
9:50 1 banana, 200 g raw salmon
11:30* 1 smoothie 275 ml = pineapple, orange, ice + sugar?
17:00 1 orange, 1 slice/piece of oxtail (cooking time and heat = unknown)
18:15 138 g of 9 chocolate peanut butter cups
22:00 1 banana, 7 slices/pieces of oxtail and soup (carrot onion tomato)
24:00 - 7:00
---
* I got really moody and rainy aroung this time, and I think it is because I did not eat enough raw sunshine for the past few days.
It usually happens when I skip too many sunshines in a row. bright coloured icy smoothie can only chill me for an hour max.
Thur May 14, 2015 (not Wai, b/c I ate another vending machine junk)
7:00
- wakes up with traces of peanut butter on the roof of the mouth.
8:00 1 banana
11:00 471ml store bought maybe half artificial mango juice
16:30 4 x4 x4 cm brown dry cake {blah gross, it is dry and brown and at least it was not a banana cake}
17:00 banana, 2 oranges
18:15 1 smoothie 275 ml = pineapple, orange, ice + sugar?
18:20 46 g of 3 chocolate peanut butter cups
22:00 1 banana, 2 oranges, 1 cucumber* + 2 spoons of sugar
00:21 - 6:50 (early wakeup b/c of alarm.)
---
*So bitter even with sugar, it is like a bitter melon. Now I know why some dislike cucumbers.

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Hey aytundra, I was wondering, is your goal to eat 100% wai in the end?
Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Yes.Kasper wrote:Hey aytundra, I was wondering, is your goal to eat 100% wai in the end?
Your point is it is impossible?

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
I don't think it is impossible. If you really want it, I think it is quite doable, but I don't really aim for 100% wai anymore.
What are the reason that you want to do 100% wai?
What are the reason that you want to do 100% wai?
Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
My reasons may seem silly and shallow.Kasper wrote:What is/are the reason(s) that you want to do 100% wai?
These are a few of my current reasons:
1. I am the one in control of which nutrients goes in me.
Metaphor = Wai items are like red, yellow and blue paints, I can control which colours I make.
I know what I am eating, and I don't have to worry about hidden variables like artificial items in ingredient lists, when I need to troubleshoot.
I know the quantity of what I am eating, and I don't have to worry about unknown amounts of ingredients all mashed in one ingredient list (maybe if companies started saying exact grams of items of each ingredients and the treatment methods used on them, then I might consider them, haha but that means they are giving out their secret formula to their products.)
2. The items are compatible across most nutrition calculators.
Metaphor = Wai items are like PDFs, they are readable in most computers, unlike Powerpoint.
I did encounter general calculator problems. Some calculators don't have the uncooked, peeled, seedless items.
But imagine the nightmare when I try entering junk foods and restaurant dishes on a calculator, I can't tease apart anything when I eat junk, there is no way to trust a calculator at that point.
3. I can then know what happens when I eat an item high in a variable.
For example:
I know that when I eat too many bananas, my poo structure gets messed up.
When I eat too may bananas and avocado, it is equivalent to too-much-spaghetti poo structure; maybe I don't handle starch and or fiber well.
So does that mean wai items solve constipation completely?
The answer is no, I think I know how to make a constipation with wai ingredients.
Did I eat the diet completely?, the answer is no, I did not eat enough calories or water content with banana and avocado, hence, maybe the general advice of drinking more water still stands for constipation, however, I think many long time Wai dieters on this board drink many liters of juice. Hence one would have to assume that liters of juice is essential component of the wai diet, and me running out of oranges liquid-rich fruits and switching over to liquidless fruits is again falling off of the diet. The fiber variable, many long time Wai dieters have great juicers that strain fiber well and have seived-juices. So 2 variables, fiber and water which one? I don't know. This means I should still keep experimenting.
4. So now I can tweak variables.
I like it because I can problem solve in this diet.
I don't like it when I break rules and introduce variables that messes up my problem solving.
-----------------------------
Going 100% Wai items,
Going 100% Wai diet,
are 2 different ideas.

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Intersting aytundra, to summarize you are saying:
"I want to do the wai diet, as with the wai diet, I can exactly control and measure which nutrients I consume.
And I want to measure this exactly, so that I can predict what happens if I tweak/adjust nutrients/variables."
But what is really the end result you are after here ? Why do you want to predict what happens ? What do you want to predict ? You talk about constipation/poo structure, but is that all ?
I like your strategy, btw, but I'm just a bit missing where you stategy is for. I mean RRM had a strong purpose, as he wanted to solve his acne problems. I think he also has a strong desire to live a very long time with very healthy bones, and if I recall correctly this wai diet also keeps him very energetic and alive.
I probably shouldn't talk for RRM
but isn't there more that you want to get from following this diet ? For example, for me, the 2 most important reason for why I like to experimentate with trying different diets, is so that I have the energy to go after my goals. And because my skin and hair looks much better on a good diet.
I think it is much easier to do this diet 100% if you have a strong and clear purpose for why you want to do this.

Chapter One - Aytundra and The Bridge
.~***There was a park located within a bunch of trees. It felt like a forest to me.
A wooden bridge 10 times the size of me, sitting over a pool of yellow sand.
I ran beside it to the edge of the bridge and right below it, reached over my head to feel the materials.
I touched the wood and the chains.
The sand sinking me as I pushed against it. I reached for the thick wooden post that held the bridge.
A solid wooden bridge, thick wooden planks the blocks 2 to 3 palms thick.
Planks held together by thick metal chains, like the size of pebbles.
The width and length of the bridge very very big, the shadow under the bridge was very big and I moved back to the pool of warm sand.
I looked at the stairs, and climbed the wooden tower beside the bridge, the stairs echoed back a sturdy wooden sound.
The railings bigger than what I could hold, I pressed my palm against the panels to go up.
I gazed at the bridge, it was wide. The trees at the other end were very far. I wondered if I could reach it.
I took a step and the bridge started to move. I held the smooth rounded chains carefully. The wooden ledge a few heads above me.
I can feel the vibration of the bridge shake against the wind, moving side to side, and the chains and board screeched, threatening to break.
I leaned against the chains of the bridge, and when the wind stopped,
I looked back to the tower. I wanted to go back.
But I can't because I reasoned I don't know how to go down the stairs.
so, I kept on moving to the center, cautiously.
