Re: Store bought juice
It's certainly heated, otherwise why the hell would they add vitamin C to orange juice?? :D You're right dime, it must take a stronger heat than 70ºC perhaps. Anyway, the thing that bothers me the most is the artificial flavors in the package. I've searched and didn't find almost anything about it....

Re: Store bought juice
Recently I've found a really handy, delicious tropicana-like juice. It's cheap (2€/litre) , and the great thing is that it's got 5 vitamins added - A, C, B1, B6 and B9. In quite moderate amounts (about 150%DDR per litre). This is great because the body can produce B3 and B7 from certain protein, and...

Re: Eating only bananas as fruit (plus fatty fish and egg yo
I've just done this for about two months, and near the end I started feeling huge cravings for deep/hot coloured fruits like oranges, tomatoes, berries. I'm still eating mostly bananas+yolks, like 80%, but those 20% left make all the difference, and I try to get lots of variety with them, which seem...

Re: Simple methods for ingesting less bacteria with raw eggy
That's strange, I've never bothered to be careful with eggs. I've only ever had problems with eggs when starting again to eat them after a few weeks of no raw eggs. Do you eat them every day mario? Or more like once-twice a week? Yeah, that's when I have the most problems also (cause the body gets ...

Re: Simple methods for ingesting less bacteria with raw eggy
For me the number 1 is to get free range / vegetarian fed eggs. This way you're also supporting ethical farming practices, and the yolks taste way better. Yeah, thanks, I should have mentioned that! Free-range eggs are also said to have less bacteria, or at least less contamination ratio. I found a...

Re: Wai said dont drink tap water? (regarding minerals)
What about plastic redisues (like phtalates) in bottled water? Which are worse - those, or the excess chlorine, heavy metals, etc from tap water?

Re: How to get into jeans again...
Since I worry this much about the economics I do intend to let you all know about the costs of my diet and how I will get along. I think that a budget would be very interesting. Especially when you are living in a capital and not in the country where fruits are better quality. You basically live as...

Re: Liver
I wouldn't advise consuming raw organs, since it's mostly where the parasites might be, and probably also have more bacteria than muscle meats. I would advise you to slow cook it or dry it at 60ºC if you wanna try it. Liver has very high levels of animal vitA, which can be toxic, unlike vegetable vi...

Re: How to get into jeans again...
Btw, it's much easier to do 100% than 80% or even 99%. Because cooked foods all have addicting substances, so even if you only eat little cooked foods, you'll keep on ingesting those addicting substances, and your body will keep on asking for more cooked food. If you do 100%, your body will stop ask...

Re: How to get into jeans again...
Some tips: 1 - What Dime said - put some rules. Have discipline. Go cold turkey. It will cost at the beggining, but after a few weeks/months, the cravings will pass; after some more, cooked foods might even not appeal to you anymore! 2 - Have always lots of variety of fruits. It will make your brain...

Re: How Much Olive Oil Do You Drink A Day?
None. I chose to get my fat from other sources: walnuts, egg yolks and salmon. Because these contain good amounts of micronutrients, and olive oil only contains vitamins E and K.

Re: How many fruits per day do you eat?
Lately:
150g of dried goji berries (not advocated on Wai Diet, since many berries are naturally meant for birds, but i'm kinda addicted )
5-10 unsulphured dried apricots
10-15 walnuts
3-5 bananas

Re: Convincing?
Just send her to speak to a japanese person :D like at a sushi restaurant, for instance. The japanese eat almost everything that is safe to eat raw. A whole country doing it, and they have the highest life expectancy of the globe. That should convince her. The list above is very useful to know what ...

Re: Low Mineral Bottled Water
Another point where the FreeAcneBook might not be completely correct... I don't think spraying would wash your facial skin completely. You should wash it normally instead (still with the low mineral bottled water), in order to remove the dirt properly. I've been doing this for 1.5 years and always f...
