Acne sufferers - don't play with your pimples!
I am writing this as someone who has come across many acne sufferers and one thing I have noticed is how often some people squeeze their pimples. This is a terrible thing to do and is the cause of people with badly pitted faces. The worst thing you can do is squeeze or pick at pimples. These pimples...

And this is where the western philosophies including western religions differ from eastern or other non-western (African for example) philosophies or beliefs. Western religions center around man as a different sort of creation to other beings, God is human-like in form and so on ... humans have an a...

We are nothing more than a bunch of minerals, much like the minerals you find in the dirt. I do not agree with this view. There are obvious differences between humans and "the minerals you find in the dirt"; humans are capable of free will, creativity, perception, emotion and so on. Free will and c...

I think it was the dried fruit. Little hard pieces that didn't dissolve or get digested by salivary enzymes stayed in the crevices of my teeth, in between two teeth and in cavities that I had, and would not be easily removed by daily brushing. In time, they would cause rotting of the teeth and so th...

Re: Swollen and bleeding gums, urgent help needed!
Hey guys, I've been having swollen gums (not just isolated area, but the entire upper teeth) and it's been bleeding for the past two days. Tonight I just brushed, and there was so much blood that it tasted salty and I spit a lot of blood. What is going on? I brush my teeth twice a day, and have onl...

If you eat food at the wrong time (when glycogen depots are full), that extra energy will be stored as fat. While as in the optimum situation, that extra energy would have been used to keep blood glucose at adequate levels. In your situation, you still need to keep your blood glucose at adequate le...

Is some fiber OK? Like psyllium fiber? It is very soft and not scratchy, and works as a bulking agent. I don't think it turns into cotton thread and twists and cuts colon like ingesting cotton wool does. It's not harsh like fiber in grain bread is. Psyllium is found in the common laxative Metamucil....

Haha .. I am thinking of doing that. I am reaching a watershed point in my life in Korea at the moment. I was all gung-ho about it up until recently but I kind of feel claustrophobic at the moment - I am not used to living in the big smoke. Were you ever on Dave's ESL Cafe, rischott? Just curious - ...

I am wondering is it possible to not lose weight or even gain fat when one eats a Wai diet but eats the foods at the wrong times? When one isn't hungry but bored, angry or depressed? That is the same amount of food that somebody who is following the principle of Wai eats but in their case only eatin...

Spring, You mentioned in another thread that you were getting bored... It's true that there seems to be little variety where you are but I also think that munch foods are responsible for this as without munch foods the fruits you eat become so much tastier, differenciated and satisfying. I think it...

Or complex machines made by chance. Not much different in essence to the machines you find that have been made by man. But the same as machines in that we are made from minerals and like machines or complex man-made systems, we produce something, in the case of man, we produce near-replicas of ourse...

We are just a walking collection of atoms of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen that evolved to the point that we can reproduce. The instinct to reproduce is also evolutionary because of we hadn't possessed this, our species would have died out eons ago and so would have most forms of life, if they also h...

The meaning of life is to reproduce? I think black widow spiders are bitten to death and eaten by the female after they have mated as their work is done, their purpose in life fulfilled. Childless people? The meaning of their life is to help make the world a better place for other people's children,...

Is it possible to not lose weight on this diet?
I have been on the diet for a while. I am concerned because I am not losing weight. Is it possible to not lose weight on the diet and just maintain the weight you're at? I am 56 kilos at the moment and I seem to gravitate to this weight for some reason when I relax a little in my diet. I am five fee...

2) how do you carry your OJ around? I realized I will need to buy something but am not sure what exactly--an insulated jar to preserve temperature better? or just a plastic (non-transparent, others do not need to see what's there, right?) bottle? What is the most comfortable litrage, material, and ...
