Mango and mint
I had cut up a rather bland mango a while ago, and decided to eat it with some mint leaves that were laying around, and it was superb! One mint leaf per bite of mango. Yum yum! It would make a lovely appetizer too.

Its a normal response of your body. Once it has experienced bad eggs, it gets better in recognizing that what was contained in those bad eggs, and it will reject that. Not because the eggs are worse, or because your immune system has changed, but because your body is better in recognizing bad stuff...

Eating insects
It's been said on this forum and elsewhere that our original animal food might have consisted of mostly insects. I've been researching insect eating, and apart from the initial "yuck"ness aspect, the idea appeals to me. Especially since we're looking for a house with a backyard, and I'm eager to gro...

My ex... well, let's just say that as long as he has his addictions and exciting new concepts to keep him feeling good about himself, he will keep going and not try the hard way. It is hard to stay up and excited for him, new things become 'old' fast. He tells me he feels lonely and that he struggl...

How much do people usually spend on olive oil? I can get a 500ml bottle of Mazola for $6 at a certain store, and that's one of the cheapest I've found (except for bulk, of course). I'm unwilling to pay more than $10. Actually now, I'm only buying the cheapest to cook with for my hubby since I've dec...

If I eat a BITE of banana, nothing happens. I feel nothing, fortunately. Otherwise, I suggest that you have entered a prediabetic condition. Did you try it with the OJ? That is more clear. You also must be hungry (lacking energy) for this to work. Maybe try it first thing in the morning? If you hav...

That´s funny. If I eat 4-5 bananas I still have the feeling that I have eaten not very much. That's way too much sugar all at once. Your stomach is used to being given large amounts of protein. You need to let it get used to smaller, lighter meals that serve your energy needs. Try this: Take a SMAL...

Terence, Finding a regular source of denocciolato oil seems to be more work than I'm willing to do and more money than I'm willing to spend. I decided instead to see if I could do without olive oil completely, and for a week and a half, I have with no problems. I feel better than ever. After two wee...

Did you used to? I'm a little disturbed that I don't want them together anymore. I may be on the verge of not wanting either for a while. Probably normal for having had them every day for like a year. I used to like them a little more. Fresh tomatos from the garden are better than from the store, b...

Hi Leslie! I'm breastfeeding too. I have a little boy who LOVES to eat, so I have to be careful to eat enough. I feel I have to sip OJ while he's nursing most of the time. I also nurse after eating fish or yolks with no problem, but I like it better if I'm laying down at the same time (seems to save...

Wow, lucky. I leave the eggs out for at least an hour, shake them (I don't roll or submerge them in water anymore as no eggs that have passed the shake test have failed the other two that I've seen), then crack them and inspect the white and sac firmness. I try to be careful since I'm more sensitive...
