First of all, acne isnt caused by bacterial overgrowth, which is only part of the inflammatory response to the clogging and pressure. (not cause, but resulting process) How would a yeast cause acne? That's why I put 'acne' in quotations. There's a lot of 'acne' like reactions which we associate wit...

Pityrosporum Folliculitis and This Diet.....
OK. I am starting to suspect that my 'acne' isn't caused by bacterial overgrowth, but may be due to yeast.... Since yeast thrives off sugar, and this diet is relatively high in sugar content... Does this pose a problem? Sure, this diet may 'unclog' the pores, but do the pores need to be clogged for ...

The Skin on my Face is constantly shedding...
Post-Accutane / Tazorac user... The skin on my face constantly sheds now. It seems like every night whenever I wash my face, I can rub off pieces of skin (I don't know how to describe it, reminds me of the skin that you can rub off on the back of your ears...like balls of greasy/gunk). Is this cause...

Why People Lose Weight on This Diet
Hey, I've got a pretty valid question... If people are concerned about losing weight in the very start of this diet - why? It seems to me like this diet WILL cause an initial loss of weight, however as long as you are eating ENOUGH, that 'weight loss' is restricted to WATER WEIGHT and not MUSCLE los...

Yeah, it's called BioAstin. I don't consume that much, I think it amounts to 4 mg. But, apparently 'that's enough' to do its job. Flamingos and Salmon turn pink naturally by producing these antioxidant substances, so it's obviously in their genetic makeup. If you consumed massive amounts of it, then...

Thanks for the comments! Unfortunately, I'm not big on the raw fish thing. I can handle raw egg yolk, but I've never been a big fan of fish. also, it's pretty hard to find fish that isn't contaminated with mercury where I live. As for fish oil, yes I recently found out that most of it is indeed heat...

First Timer on the Wai Diet, Here's My Impressions....
I'm 3 days in (this is currently my 4th day). I somehow came across wai's diet (randomly), and started reading it. A lot of it made sense, and then I decided to research for myself what the primary diet of our closest relatives (primates) was. Sure enough, they subside primarily on fruits, nuts, roo...
