3 questions about nuts and egg yolks

Hey RRM, I have three questions for you that I would love to hear your views on. 1. What are your experiences with eating nuts, when trying to eliminate acne? It seems like quite a few people on these boards have taken nuts out of their diets because they caused break-outs? 2. If nuts are such a nat...

Buying nuts with shells from Sweden?

Hey all,

I can't seem to find any stores that sell nuts with shells anymore here in Stockholm, Sweden. Does anyone know about any websites where I can order shelled nuts and get them within a reasonable shipping time and for a reasonable shipping rate?

Thanks!

Well, you're probably right about me being agitated still; I am not saying Vipassana made me a perfect human being from one day to another (whatever that's supposed to mean). Was it the part about trying to eliminate sleep that made you concerned? Obviously letting meditation take care of itself wou...

"A sense of authenticity in the sharing process is the most important to me." Well, this is basically what troubles me about t casual sex - the sense of authenticity is lacking, in my experience. I've only felt that kind of athenticity with one girl, and that's the girl I previously referred to as t...

When I stay on a vegan, sattvic diet - in other words, only eat fruits, nuts and greens - the celibacy is actually not that hard to keep up, not even in a city like Stockholm where the pretty girls are literally all around you all the time. The vegan diet seems to decrease my sex drive a lot; I am n...

Chin-Chin: I find it helpful to only eat foods that are considered sattvic in the yoga tradition (I do ashtanga myself). This site is pretty interesting: http://www.yogaholidays.net/magazine/diet.htm I just saw your picture in another thread by the way, and you are really beautiful. What's your Asia...

Yeah, that's the bottom line I guess - may all beings be happy! :)

Again, please join us over at the Vipassana group. I'd love to continue the discussion there.

All the best
A.

Ummm, the link works for me...? Basically I feel like Vipassana was just what I needed in my life right now. I used to have very strange relationships to a lot of people around me (friends and girlfriends) and also to myself, which basically made it impossible for me to obtain any peace of mind what...

Dear Chin-Chin, I'm very happy you enjoyed the experience! If you need some support as you are trying to make Vipassana a part of your everyday life - which is the big challenge after the retreat - I recommend you to join us over at the MSN Vipassana forum: http://groups.msn.com/Vipassana Another th...

Fish is out of the question for me, because I don't like it. Blending egg yolks with orange juice is okey, I guess - that's probably the only reasonable way for me to ingest any animal food. Oscar and/or RRM: Do you know what's the latest word on the whole B12 debate? Is animal food needed or not? I...

Just fruits and nuts? or plus egg yolks?

Hey Guys, Since coming back from my Vipassana retreat a couple of weeks ago, I have been eating only fruits such as oranges, water melons and so on - no eggs, no nuts, no nothing. I know this is not a very sustainable diet, considering the lack of certain minerals and other nutritients, and I am pla...

The. Best. Thing. I. Have. Ever. Done. If anyone is interested in going, I recommend to first read Hart's "The art of living" thoroughly, and then just go. The retreat certainly requires a lot of effort on the student's part, but in my own experience all the mental and physical pain I went through d...

Dear friends,

In a couple of hours I am going to my first Vipassana retreat, and I will be back on the 6:th of August. Some of you seem to share my interest in Vipassana, and I would love to share my experiences with you as soon as I get back. Until then, take care!
