Oil as a cause of insulin resistancy / diabetes?

According to Wai it's necessary to combine sugar with fat (oil) to prevent bloodsugarspikes, etcetera. On Internet there's a lot of information that states the opposite and blames oil to be the cause of insulin resistancy and diabetes. For example : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LbtwwZP4Yfs I find i...

Re: Emeira's Diary

Hi Emeira, Thanks for taking the effort of answering my question. I find it very hard to feel the difference between lack of energy and bingeing, because I also need a lot of energy (at least, that's how it feels). The VERY big bingeing is over and the urge to purge is also gone, so maybe I am on my...

Re: Eating just one hour a day: do or don't?

No, I didn't succeed at eating one hour a day on long(er) term. Because I also had troubles with sticking to 100% Wai, I focussed on maintaing the Wai diet first and I stopped IF. Now I added some (good quality) raw salmon, it's no longer difficult to eat Wai-only (guess there was a lack of protein ...

Re: Emeira's Diary

After 12 years of bulimia I no longer binge eat Emeira: I was wondering if you can tell what made you stop binge eating? I notice I am longing to stuff my self / binge eat, even with 100 % Wai foods/ no munch foods at all (so munch is not causing this). Somewhere Wai wrote you cannot overeat on fru...

Re: Low percentage of fat / Body fat 6-7-8%

( for reference : 1.70m / 50 kg )
You have a BMI of 17.30, that's too skinny? Are you sure you have excess bodyfat? :?
Seems to me you're underweight.

Re: Q about (cooked) salmon and iron intake.

Wow, so the salmon is not digested.. No, not at all. I am still a bit in shock. I knew my body couldn't digest a lot of veggies and has trouble with certain fruits, but this really scares me something might be really wrong. What's the upper limit, 70 degrees? You think warmer could have a p...

Re: Q about (cooked) salmon and iron intake.

Now I have a very stupid question (and dirty, I am sorry). For months my stool was extremely soft or even fluid, past days it seemed to get a bit better, but a better look learned there are pieces of completely unharmed / undigested salmon in my stool... It is still pink.. How is that...

Re: Q about (cooked) salmon and iron intake.

Maybe I was too quick with my conclusion, I just experienced something strange. I ate the rest of that piece of wild caught salmon and after that a piece of the farmed salmon. For good comparison. Now I didn't like the farmed salmon anymore, it tasted watery, the texture too slippery and with a litt...

Re: Confused.. how to stick to Wai? And what about fat?

How many hours a day do you exercise intensively? Eh.. I don't. I walk for several hours a day. So I guess it's really OK to eat fat. :D Sticking to Wai is much more easy now I eat more yolks and introduced salmon to my daily diet. I do think it's a lot of protein, but my body seems to ask for it. ...

Re: Q about (cooked) salmon and iron intake.

I picked up my fish today, eager to try a piece.
Now I am disappointed, it appears I don't like the taste that much and also I don't like the firm texture of the meat. :(
Soo.. I prefer the farmed salmon.
How bad is it to choose for farmed over wild?

Re: how to tell how fresh an egg is; they look thick

Do you guys really test every egg you eat for freshness? I don't, I just eat them all? I almost never throw away a yolk! Maybe once per three months there's one egg that looks bad (that one I don't eat), but I just don't test and never have any complaints whatsoever regarding the yolks? At this mome...

Re: Q about (cooked) salmon and iron intake.

I know what I was doing wrong: I bought and ate wild salmon, from different brands, but always frozen and in bags. Last month I tried fresh organic (farmed) salmon from Albert Heijn and it was delicious!! :D Why didn't I try that one before!! My problem with eating salmon is completely gone, ...

Re: Confused.. how to stick to Wai? And what about fat?

I never said I gained from 'stamppot' (which is not true) Aytundra, I said I got frustrated by not being able to stick to the 100% diet. My bodyfat is a consequence of bad energy managament, a higher intake than necessary. This morning my weight was 57.0 kg by a length of 174 cm. Not bad, I just wan...

Re: Confused.. how to stick to Wai? And what about fat?

Thanks RRM, can you also convince me it's okay to eat fat without gaining? (considered I don't eat more energy than needed) Some diet goeroe said 'the fat you eat is the fat you wear'. I truly hope that's nonsense? With those big inflammations in my face, it's more easy to stick to the diet. I feel ...

Re: Confused.. how to stick to Wai? And what about fat?

Thanks a lot Oscar. Maybe I want things too soon, like heading for WW immediately, without being successful at regular Wai. It's frustrating me, which also doesn't contribute to maintaining Wai. I will go for 100% and won't try to WW until I seem to be able to manage my food choices and energy intak...
