Re: "Meditation" debate
I don't think there is anything mystical about it Exactly. I think people associate with something mystical because of religion essentially. like you'd need meditation to achieve enlightenment (whatever that means anyway) Ahah, that's a funny thing, because some people believe that you have to medi...

After stopping doing IF
So I read this on a forum: "You are a dynamic organism, but the body pushes towards static homeostasis. If your beta cells, mitochondria, gut biome, etc, are all "used to" your diet being based around fat as an energy source, you will likely continue to crave mostly fat. It's a fairly energy intensi...

Re: Novidez's Journey - From non-Wai to Wai
 Yeah, unfortunately, it was true. And I may still have a problem on me left knee (it does some cracking sound like the sound you hear when scrunching plastic wrap). Back to those days, it was weird, I literally felt my knees to bend over on the opposite way. I was really afraid of it. I was...

Re: Ray Peat..Haidut..Ede...etc
The other day I met a person that eat tons of junk fried food daily. He doesnt have acne. Yeah, I know that feeling. Actually, I was with my friends the other day (some were drunk, etc) and guess what, in the group the one who looked the unhealthiest was me, because I am still orange (it is slowly ...

Re: Ray Peat..Haidut..Ede...etc
Ray Peat said he had success with himself and clients by getting thyroid to function optimally (using food), and by increasing vitamin A (using liver). If food doesn't work, he would advice supplementing thyroid and/or vitamin A. The other day I met a person that doesn't have thyroid. She doesn't h...

Re: Ray Peat..Haidut..Ede...etc
Well, when I am navigating around Ray Peat's world, I think I didn't see any successful story regarding acne yet (I can be wrong). Actually, they advise you to 'cheat' (take supplements) to get rid of it. So...Aytundra wrote:Do Ray Peat followers get (acne) problems from consuming dairy?

Re: Injected meat
I always take organic meat. I really don't trust commercial meat at all, and I don't like the taste. I don't know, Portugal must be really poor. Here in Oporto, I can't find any single place selling organic meat. It's just impossible: or you may be lucky and know a farmer, then you can buy meat fro...

Thank you, I didn't know about that. I simply couldn't argue in a discussion with some people.RRM wrote:A single egg usually does not survive in our digestive tract.

Re: Sodium Deficiency
Yes, of course. I was not planning adding that much salt. The maximum would be like 3/4 tsp., or 1 tsp.RRM wrote:Some salt is fine.
Just do not do any high-salt experiments.
Yeah, I know... But I ended not doing it anyway.RRM wrote:I think you are over-thinking on details.

Re: "Meditation" debate
I'm pretty sure that after being born, you didn't have developed anything yet. And if you are talking as teen, I'm also sure that you have changed your self-concept over time till today (based once again on what you have learned and seen). But, even there, you were already exposed.

Re: "Meditation" debate
I am quite satisfied with my own self-concept the good, bad, neutral, known, and unknown aspects of it, I am not interested in reading pdfs that calls names on my self-concept and requests that I need to put some some active change to my self-concept, to fast track some processes or to slow down so...

Now that you mention that, this supplement also has Copper and Vitamin B9 in it. Maybe that's the reason behind it: to create some balance.Emeira wrote: be careful with zinc, too much can inhibit copper in your body. Zinc : copper ratio is very important.

Re: Chlorinated Pools and Sea Water - Potential harm to our skin
Look at old professional swimmers, presumably they have spent much more time in the pool compared to anyone else. Does their skin look significantly worse / more aged than the skin of other people of similar age? Well, when I see them, in fact, they don't look that old. But, I must be honest with y...
