I hope that someone steps up to the plate and has their and other's blood sugar insulin levels checked by someone who knows what they are doing. Small meals, fruit with oil, fruit without oil, no fruit, .... the options are many. But this should be at least one of the bases for true inquirey. Not th...

All the descriptions of converting to a ketogenic diet talk about how in the beginning there is a lack of enenery. Read Steffason's account for a detailed description of how his men suffered in the beginning. Hence, I point out it is easy for one to assume things without direct experimentation. The ...

Your debates prove interesting. And yet what appears obvious from this vantage point is that one can take data or information and form it to fit in the most amazing ways. I urge, suggest personal testing. But of course one would first have to be willing to see and learn something completely new. Deb...

coconut oil on face

For those of you interested, I have used for years finely shread FRESH coconut rubbed onto my face, and afterwards simply wiping away any shreds left on the skin. My feelings are that any of the so called raw coconut oils are far from fresh and vital and that the skin reacts to it eventually. Van

nuts and seeds

I've had raw pistachios. And yes they are edible, but not as 'tasty' as roasted. The reason they don't sell them raw in the stores, at least here in California where they are grown, is because they go moldy so quickly if not roasted or dehydrated majorly. Van

RRM Thanks for your guidance again. Let me ask further. Could not the same reasoning for not taking a supplement that would cause the body dependance because of decreasing it's own production be said of eating chloresterols in eggs? Let me say though, I do share your hypothesis as it regards to BHA....

rrm: BHA? original diet? fat & insulin? low carb diet?

Hi again, fist if you don't mind, what do you think of supplementing with Betain Hydrocloric acid, for the premise that as we age our stomach acids decline and hence our ability to efficiently handle dense proteins. Second, I'm curious, do you believe the proposed wai diet is our 'original' diet? An...

raw low carb?

Terence, you mentioned you were eating a low carb diet before switching to Wai. I'm curious, was it a raw low carb version, ie, were you eating raw meat, or cooked? thanks Van

teeth

RRM, what's your thought as to why there are so many accounts of fruitarians having such problems with teeth, bone resorbtion in the jaw leading to receading gums and eventual loss of teeth? This question is written from curiousity rather than a fault finding demeanor. Thanks, Van

nibbling on bones

You might want to read Stefason's account of eating an only animal diet whiile living with the Inuit peoples and his one year experiment of supervised eating of only animal products with a hospital in NY I believe in the thirties. Within his writings is a little sentance where the Inuits and he ate ...

anti-nutrients

Where it is that you have read that dark leafy greens such as Kale, will either block minerals or nutrients from my body, or cause a net loss of nutrients? Greens don't cause me to fart or get a distended belly. And I ususally don't hear that from others either. Let's look at the juice of say Kale, ...

anti-nutrients

What about anti nutrients in vegetables. I'm particularily interested in those anti-nutrients in dark leefy greens and various grasses like wheat grass.
What do these anti-nutrients do to the body specifially?
What will the harm be should one juice or eat kale? Thanks, Van

stye in the eye

I have had great results with two in the years past; one I went to the health food store, and some carry an herbal tea that you then bathe the eye with in an eye cup for a minute at a time. The other I used my own urine. If you aren't aquainted with urine therapy I'm sure this will read way out ther...

diet of Salmon

Hi, something to consider. I called the Salmon farm yesterday and asked about the diet of their Salmon. They gave me the name of the feed supply co. and told me that it is grain based. Which tells me it's probably why it tastes so 'good'. In sushi bars there's a type of Tuna, I think, that is farm r...
