It is a very good digestive aid as is papaya. A lot of people marinate meat in pineapple and papaya to tenderize it. It also does the same thing in your body. Breaks down proteins that is, not tenderize it! lol I marinated some steak at a grill out with some friends, and the meat looked cooked when ...

Also, give your skin a little more time to clear up. I think it takes a while to get the lymph cleared out in some and in others it doesn't take as long. Pineapple helps clean up the skin as it contains the enzyme bromalin which breaks down protiens. I eat pineapple everyday.

Okay, RRM. I guess I am not constipated then. I have only skipped one day this week, which is usually normal when I am eating really raw. I have noticed the longer I am at 100% the smaller and less frequent I go. I see now it's because I am assimilating more of what I am taking in. Thanks!

Thanks CG. My concern is, why did I not have this problem when all I ate was junk? Now, I eat better than I ever have, and I am having a problem? I used to eat bread three or four times a day, now I eat it maybe three times a month in very small amounts. I rarely eat dairy and if I do it's fat produ...

Bathroom issues

This is not the most fun subject to talk about, but I am having a constipation problem. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I don't take in hardly any constipating foods. In the last five days I've had one brownie and that is all of the wheat products and wheat munch foods I have had. I had a sp...

Thanks Sula! I actually have re-read the section you were talking about recently and I thought about printing it out so I could have it on hand when I started getting "forgetful" when munch food comes around! I think I have my plan all figured out, so I will hopefully be reporting back soon with pos...

Congrats Sula! You gave me some hope and motivation. Now that it is nice outside I am going to kick up my walking and get after it. Can you give me an example of how you eat in a day if you don't mind? I'm just wondering how much more fat that you have added. I don't really watch how much I am balan...

My eggs are super fresh, I get them from a neighbor who has chickens. Fish on the other hand is very tricky. I live inland so there is no real fresh fish around. We have only TWO fish markets! Only one of them sells wild atlantic salmon and the other places your can get fish are all farm raised. Yuk...

I noticed that too, Corinne. I bought some wheat-free and you CAN tell a difference. I try not to use it too often because of the salt content.

Why am I not craving the egg yolks? I am not wanting them at all. They don't even sound good and fish is turning me off since the last time I bought it it was not very fresh. I don't know what is wrong. I don't know what to do. I thought about trying butter for now. That doesn't even sound good.

Hey all. I am getting ready to start and I am having the cravings issue with a twist, after all I am the one who started the munch food cravings thread not long ago. You know what is really weird? A week before my cycle, I get the craziest cravings for bacon, cheese and things of that nature. Salt a...

When I am dealing with cravings I have made some dehydrated foods, but they never tend to satisfy and like you said they give you munch food cravings AND they take hours to make! I made a lasagna that wasn't dehydrated and it took me three hours! It was very good though. The only thing is it had raw...

Yes, that's it. I have her book. I haven't made too many recipies yet, but I try them when I can. I didn't really care for the base of the tort. I was thinking about using dates instead. Maybe even using pecans instead of walnuts. Yum.

I just moved into a new house, so when I get my internet up and running at home, I will post a picture. It will be next week though. It would be interesting to see what everyone looks like!

WOW CurlyGirl, I admire you posts so. You write so well! I wish I could vocalize like that! I feel a lot of your emotions in that post. I have the same views, but I tend to feel so powerless as little me. I will tell you this, I do feel the pain. As you know, the power of the coporations has so many...
