I'm continually trying to be better and do right. The videos on goveg of animals being slaughtered are horric! I don't want to even hurt fish! I hope I can find the way to live with the least amount of 'pain and suffering' imparted to these other living creatures. Avalon, you've showed a great deal...

Yes, but we all know that a world like that will never be... http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/3564.jpg Isn't an optimistic realist a pessimist in denial? ;) Positive thinking isn't knowing the world is going down the drain while trying to maintain hope, but knowing the world is going to...

I consider myself an optimistic realist, as you, Avalon, probably are. I respect, but disagree with your beliefs. Everyday our planet is getting more and more burdened with...more everything. The natural factor of this world is becoming depleted as we speak, and to replicate/clone is something that ...

Yes, but we all know that a world like that will never be... That is why I urge everyone, especially on this very forum, to stand out amongst the media-happy crowd. All of us here have already done that, but we can go even further. I have been criticized by friends and family for being different, fo...

That's great to hear Oscar! It all comes down to personal responsibility and integrity of the individual...too many people nowadays throw their hands up and give the same 'If everyone else is doing it, so will I' mindset. My brothers and sisters are all meat-eaters, and I respect that. But it's funn...

BTW my boyfriend is a semi-vegetarian, he only eats fish for meat. He always looks for labels with the 'farm-raised' tag on it in order to stop supporting the catastrophic onslaught on our oceans fragile ecosystem. He also says a little prayer (as we're both agnostic) for the fish he's about to eat....

The only thing I encourage people to do is not only know the truth, but experience it. Whether by video or other sources, once you learn exactly what the animals are put through, you'd think twice about your next order of steak at a restaurant. I do believe we as human beings should eat meat, but at...

Thanks for this wonderful post avalon! I myself have been a vegetarian from watching the atrocity being committed to the masses of farm animals on a daily basis. I used to eat meat knowing that it was once alive, BUT after seeing the extreme cruelty they go through, I could no longer do it, especial...

I'll be backpacking through most of my trip, so I don't think I'll be carrying eggs with me for obvious reasons...Yes I'll have plenty of dried fruits and nuts, but nothing much else (I'm a vegetarian). I never had a problem with taking any kind of supplements (holistic/natural) for my health or ski...

When you have little choice, supplement w/Omega-3
Hi again, I'll be traveling alot this coming summer, and I know that eating the wai diet will be nearly impossible. Therefore, I looked into what supplements (I know it's bad) I can take out there with me. Seems like the Dr. Murray 'Natural Factors RxOmega-3' is one of the cheapest AND best omega-3 ...

Any positive/negative significance to the yolk baggie?
Hi, is there any significance of consuming the bag containing the yolk? Is it of harm to the body as far as acne is concerned? It's so much simpler to crack the shell, pour out the egg white, and consume the yolk with the bag.

That's the best way to do it, cause then you know for sure your eggs are whatever you make of them. It's brutal business out there for the animals, and the industry always look for ways to trick/manipulate the minds of the public, which usually works. I know for a fact that all factory birds are de-...

Hi, I read about it in a magazine and heard about it on the news, but they weren't making a big a deal as they should've I thought. I tried to google in a few basic words but it's hard to find, when I have more time I will try and see if any posts come up. I myself have tried to contact a few of the...

Organic Market Fraud?
Hi again, I live in the US and I've been shopping at Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's (both organic markets) waay before I started this diet. In recent times I've come across numerous reports about how some of these so-called 'organic' foods are actually NOT. Now, I know regular supermarkets woul...

Thanks everyone I really appreciate your comments. I got back on Sunday night with plenty of good memories and, a few converts! Long story short, a few people at the 'get-together' became interested in my diet, and after hearing great things about it they decided to give it a shot! Yippeee :D ...
