Don't all farmed eat an unnatural diet? I prefer to eat fish that eat their natural diet. When you say some farmed fish are better for you, are you basing that solely on mercury content? What is worse eating fish exposed to mercury or eating fish that are feed farm fish food. How natural do you thi...

http://www.edf.org/page.cfm?tagID=1540 Check out this link and it'll change your mind about the good/bad nature of farmed fish. Not all farmed fish is bad, some are actually better for you. Rainbow trout is one of my favorites even though you can't eat it raw. The rule of thumb for ocean-caught fish...

They changed the text, but (my emphasis): The Shopper's Guide to Pesticides ranks pesticide contamination for 47 popular fruits and vegetables based on an analysis of 87,000 tests for pesticides on these foods, conducted from 2000 to 2007 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug ...

Too bad they didn't compare all the fruits peeled and non-peeled, or at least note whether they are peeled or not. All the fruits/veggies listed are assessed with the skin intact, not peeled. If you cannot afford organic apples, for example, you should peel the skin in order to avoid the high pesti...

Raw Nuttery

The following is the response I got from the company:

Hello,
No heat is used. Our nuts are mechanically dehulled with just cracking
rollers and air.
Thank you for your inquiry,

So they don't use any heat in their nut-cracking process. Good stuff

BTW for those of you who remember me from a while back, I'm not that same person. This was my girlfriend's account and I'm using it now because she is no longer here. I'm a guy, btw. She's been off this diet for a while (as I have), and began eating SAD (standard american diet) ever since she got a ...

When nuts are salted/flavored in any way, then my skin is prone to breakouts. Since I absolutely love nuts, not being able to eat them was a bummer. But once I realized that eating them raw left me clear, I was hooked! I'll have to get back to you on how they are shelled...I was a bit curious myself...

Order Raw Brazil Nuts!

I've been ordering from here for a while now, thought I'd let some of you know. It's cheap and provides fast delivery, but I guess I get them quick because I only live 30 minutes away from their distribution center, lol. http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=9121446005946635076&at=0 Altho...

I am aware that some fish contain more toxins than others. However, studies have consistently shown that the rate of our pollutants entering the waters are increasing, not decreasing. No matter what, it is unsafe to eat high amounts of ANY kind of fish these days. The level of mercury in today's fis...

WARNING: Fish in high amounts = danger!!

Anything that's 'farmed' is inorganic...unless someone can prove me otherwise. The sad truth about farming is that they ALWAYS do it in excess, where the fish are cramped and prone to infections and disease. The sad truth about organic is; 1) the fish population is being depleted at an alarming rate...

I'm sorry to hear you're losing your hair. Read my post about shampooing no more, and then start taking Dr. Ohirra's Probiotics http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=3620&at=0 Believe it or not some people say they started growing their hair again. Read some of the reviews and you'll see....

Stop Shampooing

Yes, you heard me right...stop shampooing. I stopped shampooing my hair a few months ago. I only rinse with water and brush my hair daily. When my hair get seriously nappy from chlorine (pool water) or sweat, I shampoo just the hair, not the scalp. Why you may ask? Because all this time I felt like ...
