By posting that article I was not trying to refute any claims made by Wai/RRM.

I am not so much saying that the carbohydrate intake is what keeps cholesterol down as I am agreeing with what you say. That cholesterol levels can depend on ingesting too much sugar at given times.

Eating fat with sugar by itself will not prevent excessive blood sugar fluctuations. The key is how much sugar you are ingesting at one particular time.

Consider the possibility of too much blood sugar fluctuations affecting your cholesterol levels. The Masai eat very little carbohydrate which accordingly keeps their cholesterol levels down.

Well, they do not consume as much carbohydrate as Wai reccomends but they do eat a relatively high amount of animal fat. They do consume at least a portion of their meat raw.

RRM/Wai I really recommend you read this book. It is entitled "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" by Weston A. Price The book explores the connection between food, development, and function (either mental or physical) For instance, Wai writes on her website that ADHD is the direct result of the in...

Hormonal release during low blood sugar

The body releases a series of hormones (epinephrine, norep., cortisol...) in response to low blood sugar. These hormones can then trigger such responses as nervousness, anxiety, weakness, lack of concentration, etc. However, I have noticed that these feelings diminish the moment I have consumed some...

High carb necessary for height?

I have read many statements by either Wai or RRM that state a high-carb diet is necessary for height. This claim is further supported by the fact that neanderthals living in the north were short in stature. However, what about the native americans? Here are a couple of statements from Weston A Price...
