Possibly there is an extraneous variable causing the problem...

Is the cococut organic? Maybe it has been irradiated/sprayed and this is what you are reacting to

Being that I am active, I often do not have a taste for fat following (or during) fruits. How much of a problem is it to eat several fruits at once without sufficient fat to balance (during this episode) followed later by 'fat only meals.' My total fat intake then comes into the proper proportion, a...

Get over it! This diet makes you beautiful, but do a diet because you truly understand what you are getting into. Because you understand the body's physiology and biochemistry, and you understand the research behind it. Do it for these reasons, not because of someone's picture (do you see how fallac...

Dr Mercola has a very sensible approach to MODERN DAY 'paleolithic' eating. Mercola realizes that an excessive sugar intake (even in the form of fruit) leads to numerous problems. In the modern world many of us either have too much trouble following Wai's diet, or simply do not have time. Therefore,...

By the way... if you do go this route, make sure to also include quite a bit of fatty fish, and olive oil. Your body will rebel if you do not.

I think the Wai Diet is much more effective, but you MUST only ingest very small amounts throughout the day (at least 10 meals per day if eating whole fruit). When on a more traditional paleo diet, I ate a large amount of *lean* meat (seafood, buffalo, chicken breast, etc), quite a bit of fruit, som...

How likely is exhaustion of the insulin system if I eat relatively large fruit meals without 'sufficient' fat to stabilize (regardless of whether I consume low glycemic fruit)?

This depends on whose evidence you accept. By some accounts, yes it is up to 1.5 million years ago although this varies greatly.

I do agree that fruit is not the same as it used to be...

Beauty and Wai Diet

Anyone else notice that their sense of beauty in the opposite sex has narrowed CONSIDERABLY since they started this diet? I wonder if it has something with the senses being more acutely aware, but I seem to consider most women to be somewhat unnattractive as compared to before (even those who many w...

We have not been eating cooked food for millions of years. Humans did not harness fire until 250k years ago, and even then there is a question as to the extent of its use.
The human genome is relatively unchanged since 2.5-3 million years ago.

Does eating whole fruit increase the rate of cellular aging as compared to fruit juice due to the 'burden' of fiber?

A lot of times people fail with the diet (myself included in the past) because they are not able to correctly regulate blood sugar levels. This results in everything from depressions to increases in acne. After a while on this diet you begin to notice when you have 'made a mistake' with your blood s...
