Re: weight loss and juicing

Yes, because about 1-2 days after i eat oranges or orange juice for example, I have the reaction. nothing else changed and when i stop eating it, i'm fine 1-2 days later. but i think that my body has been through some struggles and maybe some foods, that are perfectly fine for others have an effect ...

Re: weight loss and juicing

One thing that really helped me, was the book 'the seven secrets of slim people'. i got it second hand for about $3. It helped me overcome food issues. I also do not tell myself that I HAVE TO be 100% Wai. If I am at an event and there is food which might happen once per week or once per month. I mi...

Re: weight loss and juicing

Hi Mia, for me, the easiest way to gage which fruits are a problem, is the fact that I get an itchy bum when I eat the ones i'm allergic or sensitive to. :| a bit embarrassing but true. And my digestion would be off. like smelly poop, gas...and my teeth are sensitive after days of citrus. And the st...

Re: Emeira's Diary

That is fantastic!!!
And it makes me happy because I'm waiting for mine, too .
Last time i did the wai diet, i had great results regulating my cycle.
Must be a good sign for this plan if it normalizes hormones! :)

Re: Emeira's Diary

What's harder drinking juice or feeling bloated?!
special circumstances call for special care.
don't do what others do, but what works for you. in this case where you aren't bloated. :)

Re: Emeira's Diary

I know from experience that you can gain on this diet like any other. Especially when not in touch with hunger/ satisfied feelings or eating emotionally/out of boredom. when u want to stop gaining, just eat less in each meal. i cannot have nuts, i would be gaining too much, otherwise. and they are c...

Re: weight loss and juicing

Oscar, I read the candida thread. Very interesting. For me, it didn't work though. Grapes and raspberries were some of the candida friendly fruits. They don't work for me. And I thrive on ones that these fellow candida sufferers cannot have... It's the fine tuning that takes dedication and work. It ...

Re: weight loss and juicing

It's been a long time.... I went back to eating a "healthy but more conventional diet" over these years. And I did eventually loose the weight by counting calories, never starving myself, but not listening to my body either. Basically 3 meals per day. But it took a lot of control/discipline, because...

banana juice nutrient value

I don't have a slow juicer yet- plan on getting one for my birthday in november :D For now I have been making my banana juice by running the banana through the green star juicer with no sieve, just to get the banana to a mushed form without using a blender. then I put it in a nut milk bag and squeez...

Welshie, if you stay mostly raw but not Wai. It might be an idea to just try to stick with a fruit smoothie in the morning, salad with avo, olive oil, lemon juice etc at lunch and fish/yolks for dinner or in the afternoon if you have a cooked dinner. Have an apple inbetween meals, if hungry. This is...

I've experienced that, the less I eat in a day, the less I need to sleep. If I stop eating early in the day, say betw. 2pm and 5pm, I will wake up early and with lots of energy the next morning. Same goes for fasting. You need much less sleep on a juice fast etc..

Hey Spring I think you'll be doing well on your plan. Just keep it simple, not too many nuts and dried fruit. For weight loss it's best to stick with simple smoothies, salads and yes some yolks or fish every day. Stop eating early in the evening, even at 4pm is helpfull. Around 1500 kcal or so seem ...
