Thanks Oscar! I feel like I am making progress with the diet. For breakfast today I had a "salad" with egg yolk, mashed banana, apple pieces, and coconut oil. It was actually pretty good and definitley filling and good for my blood sugar. At lunch I had a salad of avocado, tomato, cold smoked salmon...

Thanks! I'll try it tomorrow. One thing I'm having trouble quitting is tea...which is funny because it seems like such a harmless drink. But I am realizing that I am actually addicted to the small amount of milk I put in the tea, and not the tea itself. I also think that dairy products don't agree w...

So, I've been reading through the messages on this forum and found this posting: "Typically, the first thing I eat in the morning is a fruit salad made up of a mushed up (by fork) banana with a pear or apple or kiwi. To this I add olive oil and an egg yolk." That sounds like something I would defini...

Thanks Oscar! That's what I'm having trouble with right now, just getting the diet down. I find that I don't really want to eat all that fruit. I have blood sugar issues, and I really need to eat heavy foods. Sugary things, even fruit, cause me to get light-headed and dizzy quite quickly. Less so if...

Thanks. The hardest time for me is the morning. I just seem to have trouble getting my blood sugar to stay in a normal range. (I've been hypoglycemic for a long time.) Before this diet I would always eat something heavy in the morning, like a breakfast burrito (eggs, beans, tortilla, cheese) or perh...

Yes, I just need to get used to it and find what is going to work for me. What do you eat first thing in the morning to get going? I was thinking of eating a couple of egg yolks, but then would I need to be inactive for a while and not eat anything else for a while as well?

Ate Mexican Food Last Night...Not Pretty!

So I went out to dinner with my boyfriend last night and had mexican food. Bad idea! I only ate about half of a cheese enchilada with some cooked beans, but oh my God, did my stomach punish me for it! It's amazing how quickly your body can get used to a simpler/easier to digest diet and really rebel...

Also, do you eat your eggs at night, or throughout the day? I'm wondering if eating a few eggs before bed might be a good idea.

Thanks for the pointers! I thought maybe the muffin was ok since it's vegan, so no egg, dairy, etc. to add to the cooked protein content. Since it's got 4 grams of protein for 1/2 a muffin, I thought I could get away with less than half a muffin as a munch food. These muffins are really good, especi...

Ok, so now it has been 7 hours since I got up and here is what I have had so far today: -- 1 banana with 1 tablespoon coconut oil when I first got up -- 1 cup of green tea with about 1 tablespoon of half-and-half -- 1 raw egg -- 1 grapefruit with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil -- 2 glasses of water -- ...

I think you are right! To be honest, the cellulite drives me NUTS and I will do whatever it takes to get rid of it, including eating 100% WAI, if that's what it takes. However, I need to practice with the WAI diet more, because I still have not got it down to where I don't feel weak all the time. I ...

Thanks! Yes, I was thinking that the smoked salmon might not be raw! It looks very undercooked though. I guess they just cook it a little bit, perhaps. Anyways, I am going to be cheating on the diet for the next few days (following it half-way and eating a few things that are not on the diet, like t...

New here...Having a lot of trouble already!

Nice to meet all of you. I have been enjoying reading the messages posted here. I started the diet about 3 days ago, but have had a heck of a time with it already! I have been extremely weak and spacy, and pretty much unable to function. After reading the posts here though, it has become clear to me...
