I use such a sous-vide machine that can be precisely controlled to 1C resolution. They are cheaper now, I got mine for ~100 eur.
But I just do normal slow cooking, I don't care about the fancy effects of the vacuum sealed plastic method.

Re: RRM: Your work out plan?
Two questions, how do you get the vein of the arm that crosses the shoulder? Have you always had it, before wai diet? It may seem crazy but I love this vein, i love vein. I do not have the vain on the shoulder yet, I have on the biceps, easy, forearm of course also and down the abs when I'm on wai ...

Re: Emeira's Diary
Stomach biopsy results showed that stomach lining inflammation is caused by h.pylori, but I refused to take triple antibiotics therapy, I want to treat it natural way. Is it possible through a diet? There is very little info on "what to eat" if you have h.pylori. Some says that high carb diet is ba...

Re: Emeira's Diary
For me adding baking soda worked a lot better than drinking straight orange juice. Just add as much as needed til it stops reacting. If you leave it a bit when you add the soda, the salts collect on the bottom eventually, so then you can pour the orange juice without the salts. See here some analysi...

Re: Wai baby
He doesn't keep it but makes it on the spot (I assume). There are many supermarkets that have these machines with bottles next to them, so you just take a bottle, push the button and the machine starts squeezing the oranges.Aytundra wrote:How long does the shop keeper keep un-purchased orange juice?

Re: RRM: Your work out plan?
Exercising the middle shoulder muscle (deltoideus lateral) is most tricky, as you need to avoid using your neck muscle (you dont want a bull-neck). I made a video to clarify: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0m-kfeLSiI That's a great idea with the bike tire! It's probably really easy to adjust resi...

I've been wondering the same. There's some information here:
Cooking at 60C for at least 10 minutes, or freezing at -20C for at least 60 hours should make it safe.

Re: Wai baby
At my local fruit supplier. a moroccan owned shop. I bought a second hand juicer as below. It is in their shop now. They use it to sell OJ, and in return they do all the juicing i need, for the whole sale costs of the oranges only. That's genius! That machine is anyway industrial strength, it will ...

Re: 3 day fasting triggers immune system regeneration
I was thinking the same. Is it known how much they "age", what are their limits? If a person does this once a month, will they run out of the stem cells? I know people have donated blood for 100+ times and are healthy, which is different than this but I guess has similar effect on triggering stem ce...

3 day fasting triggers immune system regeneration
Interesting new study on the effects of fasting for 3 days: In both mice and a Phase 1 human clinical trial involving patients receiving chemotherapy, long periods of not eating significantly lowered white blood cell counts. In mice, fasting cycles then “flipped a regenerative switch,” changing the ...

Re: Chlorinated Pools and Sea Water - Potential harm to our skin
Look at old professional swimmers, presumably they have spent much more time in the pool compared to anyone else. Does their skin look significantly worse / more aged than the skin of other people of similar age?

Re: keeping hens for fresh eggs
I grew up in a former farmhouse, and we ate the eggs from the hens that we kept (approx. 15 hens, one rooster). Similar here, but it was a fixed place for them. We were giving them grains, maybe soy and some "concentrate" if I remember. But this was before the internet, one can easily find a lot of...

Re: Chlorinated Pools and Sea Water - Potential harm to our skin
You are really overthinking stuff. Millions of people go to pools or the sea and everyone seems fine.
Personally I prefer to swim outdoor in lakes (or the sea), it's cheaper and being outdoors feels a lot nicer.
