You mean Hudson Bay, NYC? I think that as long as it isn't king mackerel it's okay.

Regarding parasites, there is parasite-specific information available form many fishing grounds. You should google it up first.

I guess you have to choose the lesser of the evils. Least polluted fish, least mercury fish, etc.

It really is a shame what we have done to our waters. And pretty much the rest of the planet as well.
