Fermented fruit

Post by Kookaburra »

I just ate 9 kiwis that were fermented. All of them did not taste like kiwis at all. They tasted more like vinegar and they were very acidy! Because I did not want to waste them, I forced myself to eat them all. Now my tongue feels prickly.

My questions are:
- what would you do if you discover that your fruits were fermented? Throw them away or force yourself to eat them?
- Is fermentation of fruits optimal for us? I see no mention of fermentation in the free book.
- Eating fruits that had fermented = the same as consuming alcohol?

Did you get high? :D
(hehe.. just kidding..)
I know kiwis can taste a bit weird when overripe.. ;) I would guess it is nothing very bad...

Throw them away.

Fermentation also means the degradation of nutrients, which is not optimal.

No, there is very little alcohol inside (compared to alcoholic beverages)

A day later and I had diarrhea. It's been months since I had diarrhea and I also found a kiwi seed in the feces, thus it's highly likely caused by those fermented kiwis!

Fermented food contains many toxic metabolites of the bacteria/fungi that originate fermentation, hence vomiting or diarrhea.
I do so like green eggs and ham. Thank you, thank you. Sam I am.
