RRM ,
is it okay to drink lime juice ( 1 lime in approx. 0.5 l water ) ?
and what about freshly made passionfruit juice ( straight ) … quite tangy in taste … = okay ?

Re: lime juice
Both contain quite some anti-nutrients, more so thatn fruits such as orange, banana, mango etc.
Hence the acidic, or even bitter taste (/tangy taste)

Re: lime juice
will the anti-nutrient impact be less , when those juices are diluted with lots of water ( or orange juice ) ?
sometimes i’m craving the tangy taste … : )

Re: lime juice
Considering that nutrient intake is usually not a limiting factor, taking in anti-nutrients is not that influential.
Its not optimal, of course, but the effects will not be dramatic.
Don't make it a daily habit, though.

Re: lime juice
Only when dilluted with water, they can hardly negatively impact the uptake of minerals (from water).
When dilluted with juice, there are many more nutrients which uptake they can interfere with

Re: lime juice
so it’s not really about diluting , more so about consuming them separately from other foods ?
do anti-nutrients also have an impact on previously or subsequently consumed foods - let’s say with 1hr in between ?

Re: lime juice
Yes, anti-nutrients may reside in the intestines for quite a while, hindering the uptake of nutrients from previous and subsequent meals
Re: lime juice
i am sorry to be so persistent RRM … just to get this properly … :
does diluting those juices with water reduce the potency of their anti-nutrients ?

Re: lime juice
No, dilution does not decrease the potency of anti-nutrients.
In as much that dillution does not somewhat stem the uptake of dirty protein from cooked foods.
