22 year old male in need of help

Post by AnExtraInSomeBackground »

when killing time at work, i stumbled upon the many wai pages and found them all to be very interesting. ive read thru a whole lot, but i figured the best way to get some 'expert' advice is by the many followers of this whole diet.

just a quick bit about me so you know where im coming from - im 22, 6 feet tall, pushing close to the 300lb range and have severe acne. i dont drink, i dont smoke, no drugs or anything else like that. my one 'drug' as some would put it is the whole fast food thing. ive been mr. lazybones in just going the easy route in not having to buy/make things myself and just going to the worst places a person could eat. and now, ive come to find myself a disgusting mess. so, ive been looking for a huge life-changing way to turn myself around. when i found the wai sites, i decided that this was the way i had to go.

so, im here to ask you (the loyal waidiet followers) what you think would be best for someone in my position.

ive pretty much hit rock bottom, so im willing to try anything/everything. i know people have their own additions to the waidiet to fit their particular needs.. i guess all im wondering is the best way to get rid of this awful acne while losing a WHOLE bunch of weight.

any/all help is more than welcome. thank you in advance.

It sounds to me as if you are indeed, as you put it 'willing to try anything'.
Now, that is a very good place to be in when one wants to change, so
if I where you I would just go for it!

Use your motivation now, when you still got it! You have the right to
not fell disgusted about yourself! Claim that right! Claim it by treating
your body the way it deserves!

I suggest you try the acne sample diet for a while and see how it feels.
I have been on this diet pretty strict now for about 2 months, having
moderate to great results.

I recommend lots of avocado-tomato-cucumber salad, fruits and sweet
berries with extra virgin olive oil and raw fish! I prefer fish to egg yolks.
Also lately I have added carrots and raw walnuts and it seems to work fine, regarding my acne.

Go for it now! It is worth a try ;)

Good luck!

Welcome. :)

Like fictor already suggested: go for the Acne Sample Diet (http://www.waicure.com/acnesamplediet.html) and try it strictly for at least 2 weeks (to be sure you get a noticeable result).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

im sure you guys have done this a million times over, but - what are the exact amounts needed per day?

fresh fruits
olive oil
an avocado/tomato/cucumber salad
raw fish/egg yolks

i know that those are the 4 basics, but i could be making much more of it than i need to. if one daily routine could be broken down for me, it would help out a lot.. because, i know that instead of 3 meals, there should be many more..

example of what im looking for here :

1st meal - 1 banana, 1 orange, orange juice + olive oil
2nd meal - 1 apple, 2 kiwi, orange juice + egg yolk

.. and so on and so forth for all (7-9) meals of the day.

im kind of a simpleton and am constantly second guessing myself, so if it could be simplified for me, it would probably end up helping me in terms of being strict on this diet..

thanks.

I try to get 7-10 meals every day. They usually consist of 1-3
fruits and lots of fats. Also, sometimes, I sip juice with oil.

I usually divide my meals into two categories.
1. Sweet
2. Not that sweet

The 'sweet' meals are made of bananas, apples, blueberries, mango,
raspberries, strawberries, pinapple and so on.

The 'not so sweet' meals are made of avocadoes. Sometimes
mixed with tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, egg yolks, fish and
so on.

I usually eat one sweet meal, then one not so sweet, then one sweet and so on. Usually I crave that alternation.

The meals are smaller than 'regular meals', by that I mean meals on a
normal diet.

I hope this helps some :)

Also, whenever you feel a bit tired or weak, please remember to eat or drink something that contains enough energy, as with this diet you readily under-eat, which will make you feel tired / weak.
Please pay attention to that.
