since this is a water topic, i understand that with all the fruit one should be eating on this diet that drinking water isnt required, however, i read around and found a lot of people supporting the idea of water as an acne cure. People seem to suggests half one's body weight in ounces and others 6-8 glasses of water a day. I've tried drinking water before and it didn't help with my acne. So this past month i started drinking an excess amount in addition to losely following wai's diet. I've pretty much been drinking 2-3 gallons of water a day not including all the fruit i eat. To my surprise its actually working. I don't understand it one bit. I was hoping someone had an answer for me. Could this mean that i have kidney problems? Is drinking so much water forcing my body to do something?

Its not a cure, as it cannot eliminate acne, but yes, it does help in the fight against acne.i read around and found a lot of people supporting the idea of water as an acne cure.
Thats because acne is caused by the combination of 1) producing much sebum and 2) retaining extra water in the true skin.
2) is normally caused by an excess of hydrophylic (water-retaining) molecules in the true skin (as well as in the blood). The only way to deport those molecules, is by draining them away with the help of water. The more water you drink, the more hydrophylic molecules are deported (and excreted by urinating), which helps to decrease water retention in the true skin, and thus decrease acne.
No, it just means that there were too many hydrophylic molecules in your true skin, such as sodium-chloride (salt) and proteins.Could this mean that i have kidney problems?
Yes, it forces your body to deport more hydrophylic compounds. Is drinking so much water forcing my body to do something?
