Is it possible to remove the overlay in the (dark green) header?

yes you can do that clientside in the color chooser or via the ACP to change the default. you can also change the overlay background choices by modding the theme too of course, you think it would look better if the overlay was removed by default? I'll try that now

I haven't had time to play with it yet, but my first impression is that it looks good. Since it looks that much different from a standard board, it might be an idea for the (hopefully near) future to redesign the site and have it and the board's design look similar.

Sorry I've been really busy with college lately, thinking of giving up on that whole other style as I realized it's more feature oriented than user oriented, and this one seems to be working without problems, so I'll just design graphics to patch this one up with rawfood icons and stuff

The post count increment was set on 'Yes', so I ran a script which hopefully re-synced it. At least I see the count has increased.

Thats great!
Thank you.
The fruit basket and the apple are both nice.
I like the 'sand-colours' of the experimental forum, and i dont care so much for the current blue.
Anyone?

Agreed. The sand colors are certainly easy on the eyes which is important to me as I seem to spend a lot of time in the forum these days.
I do so like green eggs and ham. Thank you, thank you. Sam I am.
