I have tried them all. I was that way as a child too. But once in awhile I buy some (have some now) and think I will give it another try. I had an Orange yesterday, with an hour or so I a painful tummy and still when I went to bed, and slight indigestion all day.RRM wrote:Have you tried extremely ripe oranges? Ah, ok. Maybe its an oversensitivity to specific amines in oranges, or to specific fruit acids.twinee1 wrote:I was that way as a child too.
My first idea would be citric acid, as oranges are high in citric acid (1%). If that would be the case, you would have the same reaction to kiwi and grapefruits, as these fruits also contain 1% citric acid, and even more so to granadilla (3% citric acid) and lemons (5%).
If not, what other fruits are a problem for you?
