Brazil & Macadamia Nut Oil Butter

Post by avalon »

Oh boy! I've been wanting to try this for a while and just made some- Brazil Nut spread. I don't know how this will keep. I started with a food chopper, then moved it into the blender because my blender doesn't chop too well.

Essentially:

Brazil Nuts
Macadamia Nut Oil

This is the oil I used.

I added too much oil initially so had to add more nuts than I intended. So now I have a lot of it, but it tastes great! I could eat this with a spoon and be happy, but on an apple slice is heaven! I was going to use olive oil, but it didn't seem quite right, I had this Hawaiian Mac oil that I haven't used in ages.

If you try this just be careful to add oil as you go slowly.

Best wishes,
Avalon :D

How bad would blending be on the Brazil nut protein? I bet this would be much better for all those munch-food recipes that wai included peanut butter in.

Not that bad,
And yes, a lot better than peanutbutter.

Do you think this would this work with olive oil? and/or regular dairy butter?
