Wrong value in nutrient calculator

Post by Kasper »

According to the nutrient calculator farmed salmon contain no vitamin B3:
[Item 1] 100g (grams) of Salmon (Salmo salar L.), [2][1]
"Vitamin B3, Niacin/Nicotinamide............0.00mg .........."

According to nutrients per food item this should be: 7505 mcg per 100 gram
According to the USDA list, altantic farmed salmon contains: 8672 mcg per 100

Could this be updated ?

Thanks for the spot! :)
It was also missing info for vit B5 and B6, so I added those as well.

I've added it. I think the simple calculator is missing more beta-carotene entries...I'll look into it.

Yeah at the time the nutrient calculator was made not every value was known or entered. I'll add it.

For vitamin K in egg yolk, the calculator lists 47 mcg, but it should be 147 mcg. / 100 g.

Is the nutrient calculator updated with the revised WHO recommendations for protein? I don't see a changelog or timestamp on the javascript. Also, is the protein quality calculation correct? I have limited js experience, but I'd be interested in lending help if any is needed.

No, it hasn't been updated. The protein quality calculation also hasn't been updated to the new values yet. You're welcome to do it, any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
