Since about a month, sometimes when I want to post something,
nothing gets posted after clicking the "submit" button.
It also happened to other users.
Its quite annoying, as you may have typed an extensive reply that gets lost,
and you need to start all over again. (clicking on "back" often doesn't help)

That has never happened to me before...maybe select all and copy before navigating off the page, just in case.

@RRM, maybe it is browser related ? Does this also happen with a different browser (chrome/firefox) ?

Btw, if you guys ever want to move to other forum software, I think discourse would be a really great choice (http://www.discourse.org/)

I heard that it is possible to convert old forums (like phpbb) to discourse. But it would takes quite some time (or money).

This forum seems good enough to me, I don't think it's worth it converting to something new right now.
I haven't had problems with the forum btw.

Hmmm, maybe it is browser related.
Will switch from IE to Firefox or Chrome.

Weird. Keep me posted, and copy the text just in case.
Oh, do you use the default forum interface or another one?

Btw it's kind of strange, here I see the "quick reply" button, but in another topic I don't.

Well, today, after a browser update, I got my first Submit failure. And I have the same 'quick reply' issue. I haven't restarted my computer yet though, so we'll see if these things persist after I do. It might be a plugin/addon update as well.

haha kasper, I'm really impressed you knew about discourse (I'm a web enthusiast and you're right, it's the best out there right now), but you know, it's not released yet, it's still under development. In terms of ease-of-use and free, phpbb is still king.
