Re: going to try WW
In my experience not a lot of protein is needed to maintain and grow muscle mass (up 'til a certain point of course). On Wai Warrior you would need a bit more, to compensate for the breaking down of muscle mass for energy during the non-eating window.
I agree with the previous posters that you don't necessarily need more weight. You just have a lanky build, like I have a thin Asian one.

Re: going to try WW
You can measure your fat percentage, indeed. (caliper)Emeira wrote:how do I know if my weight gain comes from muscle not from fat? what is accurate method to measure? Caliper? Clothes? Mirror?
Also, fat will accumulate on specific places (eg abdominal, hips), whereas muscles will develop only where you train them.
That depends on what you want.do you think these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_aXgGd7ccE workouts are fine for bodybuilding?
Which muscles specifically do you want to grow, and which ones not?
Yes, and whatever you want, you can always achieve that by training at home.I love to train at home or outside, it is cheap, convenient and effective
Re: going to try WW
Hmm.. I am trying to train all muscle groups as possible with bodyweight exercises (sometimes I do use weights or kettlebell)That depends on what you want.

If I feel soreness in legs then I do workout for upper body, abs and vice versa.
...but I still don't understand, how I can build muscle without fat? How can I have shredded body if I have to be in calorie surplus
More calories than my body needs = weight gain (maybe muscle gain, but fats also, no?)
Re: going to try WW
Training all muscles groups meaning aiming to expand all muscle groups.Emeira wrote:I am trying to train all muscle groups
That means an increase in size everywhere, including your waist, neck etc.
Is that really what you want? To just be sturdier? Just bigger?
You need to walk the line very carefully; going a bit too far in either direction will either result in weight loss or fat gain.how I can build muscle without fat? How can I have shredded body if I have to be in calorie surplus

When you work out to increase muscle volume, you need to consume exactly as much as you need.
Protein and energy used for constructing extra muscle mass is not "more calories than your body needs",
it just is consuming more energy than when not exercising. More energy than required for everything except exercises.
Re: going to try WW
I want bigger more muscular arms and lean, ripped legs ans abs, + low body fat.Is that really what you want? To just be sturdier? Just bigger?
... and of course regular menstrual cycle, because I know that heavy weight lifting exercises evokes amenorrhea in me, but not HIIT workouts
I think I get it, maybeProtein and energy used for constructing extra muscle mass is not "more calories than your body needs",

From another topic:
Is it really enough for muscle building to eat only yolk and nuts (hazelnuts)? ~ 8 yolks ~ 50g nutsAbsolutely.is it 'doable' to build muscles just on yolks and nuts
All you need is good quality protein, which they both contain.
Plus you get additional protein from fruits/juices.
this is a relief for me, because I am constipated from all other animal foods (chicken, beef, fish etc.)
Re: going to try WW
ok, I will give a simplified example, lets say:
* on monday I do not workout, just some casual walking, daily rutine etc. Calorie needs ~2000kcal so I eat that day 2000kcal. My weight stase the same.
* on tuesday I go to exercise, workout burns about ~300kcal, day rutine stays the same as on monday. Colorie needs for this day ~2300kcal. So if I eat only 2000kcal I will lose weight, right? If I eat 2300 I will gain muscle mass? And if I eat 2500kcal I will gain muscle mass and fat?
So in order to build muscle I must eat the exact amount of energy that I burned that day? No less no more?

Re: going to try WW
For this, you need exercises causing 'burn' in the arm muscles.Emeira wrote:I want bigger more muscular arms
Fort this you do not need exercises, but proper energy management.`and lean, ripped legs ans abs, + low body fat.
The muscles are already there, but covered by fat and water retention.
Yes, it is enough, but only when your energy management is adequate. Is it really enough for muscle building to eat only yolk and nuts (hazelnuts)? ~ 8 yolks ~ 50g nuts

Re: going to try WW
aha, no its clear.
One more question:
I fast from 8pm till next day 1-2am about 18 hours. After fast comes workout (with empty stomach) but I really feel no energy and weakness in muscles, is this is a sign that I should eat more during eating window or is it absolutely normal to feel that way and I should ignore these sensations?

Yes. It means that your glycogen depots do not get sufficiently repleted.Emeira wrote: I fast from 8pm till next day 1-2am about 18 hours. Re: going to try WW
The glycogen depots should be empty after 18 hours
Why do you want to workout on an empty stomach?
