Terence, Thank you so much! I didn't know the stones of olives were included in most olive oils. I also have had cracking in my joints and concentration problems that I thought were due to blood sugar issues. I will experiment with a denocciolato oil and see if there is a difference. Do you eat nuts...

It depends where I shop. At smaller/specialty stores, they're usually not very fresh, especially organic (unfortunately), but the cheapest eggs at the most popular stores are the most reliable regarding freshness (high turnover). It also depends on size, as the smaller eggs seem to last longer. Howe...

I think this only applies to shelled almonds, as the "Handler", in charge of the pasteurization, is listed after the Huller/Sheller in the chart on the webpage. I think if we keep buying them in the shell, we'll be ok. :)

RRM, I used to get the runs when I ate a bad egg. Hardly noticed. Never had a problem with fish. Then late last year, I tried two egg yolks one day after not eating them for a while. They made me feel like throwing up (never did), I got shaky, blurry vision, tired, then really hungry and thirsty a l...

Metabolizing sugars and fats (like protein) particularly requires various B vitamins and some minerals and trace elements. I've read processed sugar depletes zinc. avalon, I'm feeling UNFORTUNATE right now that I don't suffer from acne, as I care very much about good health, but most of the immediate effects I get from this diet are simply mental. No one understands why I bother, since I seemed just fine before. They think it's all in my head. It is! That's th...

So the answer is indeed "the effect [is] negligible", as quoted from my question above. Except for maybe cases when a person is experimenting like RRM in the past with drinking massive amounts of sugar-water w/ oil? Which nutrients are used to process these three (I'll try to find out myself, also)?...

I tried steak tartare yesterday, although in a restaurant, not homemade. I really liked it, after about 15 minutes of being not so sure. I still like fish better, though. I just wanted the experience. I'll have to make some fish tartare, since I still eat salt, onions, and garlic! Do you have a reci...

So are you considering oil and sugar "natural foods", or are you saying the nutrients they take to process don't matter because we consume so little of them compared to natural foods?

Does excess water carry any necessary nutrients out of the body with it, or only waste? I've heard drinking way too much water can be very harmful. If I drink too much water in one sitting, I get dizzy. Also, someone told me processed sugar requires necessary nutrients to process within the body, nu...

I also stopped using toothpaste like Oscar suggested, and I'm quite happy with the results. I brush and floss once before bed. My breath doesn't smell as long as I remove the plaque and brush my tongue. When I used toothpaste, I would have a nasty taste in my mouth in the morning. Now it's just "nor...

1. I typically sleep 8-9 hours, but since a few days before the New Year, I've been getting 5 hours at the most. I've been trying to go to sleep at 9pm, when my son typically falls asleep, but I can't fall asleep very well. I'm a light sleeper, and my son's crib is right next to me, and he makes noi...

Also, different fruits would have different effects on my mood because of their taste and sugar profiles, mostly strawberries, raspberries and cantelope. It is subtle but totally there and it definitely is something that once you get better it, you can be 'there' that much more all of the time. I'm...

Hello! I wanted to share how much I love avocados again. Finally! Those rich, creamy Haas beauties dripping with fresh egg yolk...dreamy. I truly did feel like a different person while pregnant.
