Re: JeffC the extreme ninja warrior

Weston Price also recommends around 1500 mg of calcium daily. That surely doesn't go hand in hand with the Wai diet. So what are your thoughts about that ? The science has shown that it's clearly a bad idea for people who eat a standard bad diet and are using commercial milk and supplements in orde...

Re: JeffC the extreme ninja warrior

Jeffic, (according Weston A. Price diet) what food is best for general human health? how your daily menu looks like? I would say that the Price diet emphasizes natural foods that are high in fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K2) and essential minerals, because they aid dental health (and overall healt...

AGEs

Study: Advanced glycation end products and nutrition. Comparison of nutrition and plasma AGEs in vegetarian and omnivorous groups shows that the higher intake of fructose in alternative nutrition of healthy subjects may cause an increase of AGE levels. This study compared a 'traditional omnivorous' ...

Re: AGEs / ALEs

The level of AGEs in boiled potatoes very much depends on how high the level of reducing sugars (and was in the original raw potato. (and the level of ALE formation depends on the levels of lipid derived aldehydes) Potatoes, boiled, cooked in skin, flesh, without salt Total Carbohydrate 27.4 g Suga...

Re: AGEs / ALEs

I consider boiled potatoes the most desirable option available. -By removing the skin and boiling, I avoid most glycoalkaloid antinutrients. -We agree that there is no acrylamide at this temperature. -We agree that HCAs and PAHs are mainly in meats. -We agree that the AGE (CML) content after boiling...

Re: JeffC the extreme ninja warrior

I disagree, I don't think you can "conclusively" say that your lifelong digestive problems were caused by "fructose". You can only say that "JeffC is 'very likely' intolerant of fructose". The 4 potatoes, means you might either have a fiber problem, or you might still have a sugar problem but with ...

Re: JeffC the extreme ninja warrior

Do you still notice anything with the carbs from other foods? Bad digestion, or you still have good digestion with carbs? Potatoes for example? And how about the avocado? Do you still have digestion problems? Avocado? I don't eat avocado. Anyway, fructose (fruit sugar) has to be metabolized by the ...

During a lifetime, there are only a limited number of cell mitoses possible (because of the telomeres). Lately I've become more curious about keeping telomeres long (for anti-aging). The Telegraph put up an article a few days ago about a study on standing v. sitting. Fortunately I had already adopt...

Re: JeffC the extreme ninja warrior

For the last month I've been almost completely stable. 124 lb and 29-inch waist, with small fluctuations based on hydration and stomach contents. I don't know exactly how many calories it is per day. Something in the area of 2500. I am using both potatoes and dextrose for carbs at the moment. 3-hour...

Re: Improved eyesight! & Bates' method

I have some experience with Peter Grunwald Eyebody method. I've done 2 retreats with him and it's excellent. http://www.eyebody.com It helps if you buy the Eyebody Pinehole glasses (not other ones, they won't help in the same way) and then do a retreat with Peter. How do his US$74.95 pinhole glasse...

Where was the "error" ?
-Loss of fat when dehydrating meats
-Wasting a small part of each egg yolk
-Imprecise measuring of coconut oil
