May I ask, with regard to kiwifruits, would it be preferable to gentally swallow the fruit rather than chewing/biting in order to prevent the seeds from being ground down?

Take care,
James

avalon, as a child, I used to rather enjoy my mother's greasy fried eggs. I would carefully cut around the egg white, before scooping up the entire yolk and letting it 'pop' inside my mouth.

Not that I would condone eating fried eggs!

Take care,
James

Looks delicious, thanks for the pic! My recent dinnertime favourite, after returning home from work, has been to thinly slice a couple of apples (using a vegetable slicer), add water and mix with olive oil; a yummy apple salad. If there are any ripe avacados available, I mash up half of one, and mix...

Yes, well I was curious too, however I appear to have developed a 'taste' for both the flavour and text of raw egg yolk. If I accidentally drop a little of the sack into my cup, I can usually locate it once inside my mouth, jostle everything around a bit, before managing to swallow the yolk whilst i...

Yummy, sounds delicious! I guess we should be cautious about the prunes though, yes? For the record, the prunes I purchase are relatively cheap (over here at least) and I suspect are heat processed. ;( However, when I need a quick energy fix, nothing can beat sucking on a few prunes with a sip of ol...

Thanks Amber, you speak a lot of sense!

I absolutely agree that there is no such thing as the 'perfect' diet - we should simply accept that everyone is different and are perhaps more suited to some types of food more than others.

Take care,
James

O RH Positive, according to my British blood donors card. Contrary to the claims above, I have remained vegetarian for the best part of ten years and simply could not stomach the prospect of eating meat again. However, I would like to suggest that I am 'close to nature', so to speak, and certainly e...

Becoming paranoid over fruit skin?

Good evening folks, Before reading of Wai's diet and indeed frequenting these discussion boards, I used to regularly consume whole fruits, believe the fibre in the skins was an important component of one's daily diet - I would even eat the 'pith' of oranges/clementines and think nothing of eating wh...

Hmmm... I'm curious - out of all the foods you could have chosen, why fried chicken?!

The existance of KFC was largely my motivation for becoming vegetarian.

I hate to be another one to go against the grain, but as much as diet is important in maintaining healthy skin, so are other factors - sufficient rest, fresh air, exercise, relaxtion and the opportuniy to 'wind down' after a stressful day, are surely also important?

Take care,
James

Thomas, can you think of any particular reason for this to be the case? Perhaps watching those around you consume cooked junk that you know is full of toxic rubbish? Slightly off-topic. but I live in a shared house with over fourty people - given their nationality, the majority consume rice as their...

Well, I consume two yolks upon arriving at work, and three in the evening, just before going to bed. On both occassions, I extract the yolk liquid into a small cup and add a little water (and sometimes a little sugar), and stir the mixture into a small drink to sip gently. I recall reading that yolk...

Sure, but this doesn't really help much. I know exactly vcolfaris means - one could easily blend a whole hand of bananas with a little water and oil, and drink the 'shake' there and then - in such a case it is extremely difficult to listen to you body, simply because you are consuming a large amount...

Thanks,
