Tinnitus

Post by Kasper »

I just want to say, that sinc I eat oysters (2 a day), my tinnitus (ringing in the ears), becomes better.
Also my muscles in my jaw seems to be more relax.

Anyone any ideas why ?
And somebody any ideas how to battle tinnitus by food?

It depends on the cause of your tinnitus, certain deficiencies can cause it as well as MANY other factors.. I find mine is worse when I don't eat/sleep enough... but I haven't found anything yet that has made it better. My eustachian tubes are blocked, so my ears don't regulate pressure causing most of the ringing.

My tinnitus disappeared today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

As you can see, quite happy width it.
I took 6 cold baths today. All about 2-5 min.
When I'm width my ears underwater, I can hear my tinnitus quite clearly.
But after some baths, I noticed that my tinnitus became much more quiet.
Now, I don't even hear it when I press fingers in my ear.

By the way, I don't recommend just taking a cold water bath if you suffer from tinnitus yourself.
It is best to do it very gradually, making sure your body doesn't get stressed when taking cold shower/baths.
Also avoid heavy shivering. Try your body to learn to adapt to cold without shivering.

Did it disappear today, really?
Or was it already in the process of disappearing?
Did you take cold baths very regularly before?

Yes, it disappeared completely yesterday. Came back in the morning a little bit.
At the moment, it is gone again.
Or was it already in the process of disappearing?
Well, it has become better and better for a long time.
Already for the last 6 months I don't notice it.
I think if I would try hard in quiet places (when sleeping for example), I would be able to hear it.
But most of the times, I don't try hard (luckily).
I noticed +/- 5 times when trying to sleep (in last 6 months).
I also noticed it when pressing my fingers in my ear.
I can't tell what the real progress was the last 6 months, because I'm not pressing my fingers in my ear regularly.
But it did fluctuate a little bit, sometimes it became less loud, but it also became louder sometimes.
Did you take cold baths very regularly before?
I've been taking cold showers (+/- 5min) for 2 months.
Something like 5 times a week on average.
Last week I started width longer cold showers (+/- 25 min.).
And 2 days ago I started taking cold baths.

25 minutes cold shower? WUUUT? Totally cold water, or just a tiny pinch of warm water through it?

No, totally cold of course. Trying to become the next Wim Hof :)
I measured the temperature today, it's 11/12 degrees Celcius.

Okay, little update, it came back several times (especially after sleeping or working out)
First, taking a cold bath would fix it again.

Today, in the morning, taking a cold bath didn't work ... :( (tried 3 times)
Than I tried it again, but more in the style I was taking the last couple days.
And that fixed it again!

I have the feeling that I'm doing a little bit yoga style relaxation when taking a cold bath/shower (width the right concentration).
Maybe yoga can have had the same effect.
When I do it the wrong (which didn't help tinnitus) way, I'm just forcing myself too much. (In dutch I would say: "Verstand op nul en gaan")
Not concentrating on "battling" the cold width relaxation.
The strange thing is, I'm not able to relax my muscles when not exposed to cold (I even tried yoga, but I was very bad in it, because of that)
But width cold I'm able to do it (semi) automatic, as long as I concentrate enough.
Besides that only in that way I'm able to relieve tinnitus, I have also other benefits doing it in that way:
1. I don't get really cold (no shivering)
2. My skin looks really healthy (colorful), especially my face (which looks very pale sometimes).
3. I feel like my body posture gets automatically in the right position when showering (and it stays more easily good afterwards).

add epsom salt (i think thats what its called) to your baths, it will help release electric noise from your body, I would bet this is one of the causes of your tinnitus especialy if you sleep next to powered devices - alarm clocks, anything with a wire plugged into a wall outlet if the wire, device, outlet, or wiring behind the wall to the outlet is near your body, ceiling fan, etc.

also if you want to test this, stand barefoot in some dirt or soil or wet grass (take some SALTY water to wet your feet for better conductivity) and stand or sit there or walk in it for an hour. after 20 min you should feel tinnitus wear off if EMF pollution is the aggregator. after an hour it should be completely gone. would be interested in the results. epsom salts is same principle but nothing can match the power of grounding to Earth

I think you are quite right panacea.
The first time I noticed my tinnitus (back in januari 2010), I was spending very much time listening to my Ipod (maybe 4-8 hours a day) for a couple of weeks.
Especially during the evening/night, because I couldn't fall asleep (I was listening to relaxing binaural waves).

The first thing that came to my mind, was that the tinnitus was a consequence of hearing damage from the earplugs.
But I always had the sound very quiet (0 to 50% at the volume bar).
I've talked about this width my ear specialist, but it was much more likely to be caused by spending time in clubs than from the ipod (if I really kept the volume down).
But as I didn't spend very much time in clubs during that period, I found this both rather strange.

A couple months ago, I learned very much about earthing/grounding of electrical devices and your own body.
I lived at a house which wasn't earthed during that time.
And the worst thing was, I listened to my ipod when it was recharging in a non-earthed socket.
You might think that it is a completely harmless activity, but it is not.
If you measure your body voltage (which it is very easy to do by the way), you get a very indication about the electromagnetic radiation you are exposed too (especially the low frequencies)
I measured it when recharching my ipod in a non-earthed socket (or width a non-earthing power plug), my body voltage gets about 50-70 volt!
For reference standing barefoot on grass it is 0 V, standing in a house it is normally around 0,3V-3V.

When the ipod is on batteries it's effects on body voltage are negligible, so you don't have to worry much about that. Same for mobiles or alarm clocks.

As I was spending maybe 2-6 hours listening to my ipod while it was recharching in a non-earthed socket, my electromagnetic radiation exposure (especially to my ears), was without any doubt not doing me any good.
And I'm really convinced that this caused my tinnitus.
By the way, these electrical devices are much less harmful when they are earthed properly.
You can also earth your body, which not only protects you from electromagnetic radiation (if you don't believe me, you can measure it yourself easily).
But also provides your body width free electrons. Which are very good in fighting inflammations and act as a powerful anti-oxidant.
Most natural way is to earth your body by standing barefoot in the grass, showering, bathing (epsom salt, seasalt etc. helps the movement of electrons)
But you can also earth your body in less natural ways, using the earth wire of a house.

50-70 volts is really a lot more than ive ever heard of, im glad you caught it early or you probably would've gotten brain cancer or something
I'm pretty infuriated myself, that I'm just now hearing about this stuff, I've been an electronic junkie pretty much my whole life, always plugged in to something.

from what I have read, earthing using electrical sockets (the ground only) is potentially dangerous, so i'm steering clear of that.
i've bought a grounding rod and im going to wire it through my window and connect it to me at all times indoors, and i have grounding add-ons for my shoes for when im outside

what i dont understand is how you ground electrical devices with the 2-pin plug (no ground)? i guess i could alligator clip a wire from the ground rod to the metallic part of some electrical appliance, but that would be a spaghetti mess of wires. there must be some kind of 'adapter' that turns a 2-pin plug to a 3-pin plug but i haven't found any

i guess you cant make a 2 prong cord into a 3 prong cord because it doesn't have the third "green wire" in the cord, so maybe we have to ground it some other way, still not sure how without making a mess

Well it's possible, (I did this before I earthed all my sockets the other way around), but I will certainly get a mess and it's illegal.
But you can put a cupper wire in it, if you open up a 3-pin socket.

How much is your body voltage indoors now ?

i wont know for a while since all my stuff is coming in the mail in 4 days, im agonized waiting for it.. seems like forever
im pretty sure it was high since i live in the smackdab middle of the city, there is an antenna literally bigger than my car on the roof of this small 4 person apartment house building, and powerlines on all 4 sides of the house within 7-10feet.

currently the only '2 prong' device i need plugged in 24/7 is my router, and i guess i'll have to earth it manually

Before my room was grounded, it was damn high here as well. But because of a ordinary wall which was 20 volt if I touched it (the wall in my sleeping room).
Now my room is 2-3 volt if I don't ground myself. When grounded I try to get it below 0.01 volt. Standing on a cupper wire width diatbetis socks is very effective or putting your foots in a sea salt solution.

What sort of antenna is your apartment ? I don't think earthing will help in that case, because those frequencies are too high.
