Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
19:00 1 apple, 3 egg yolks
21:00 200 ml red bean soup with ginger
24:00 - 4:50, 8
---
The granola bar contained: buckwheat, barley, redwheat, triticale, rye, quinoa, oats... 5/7 of the grains I rarely ever eat.
Fri Nov 13, 2015 (not Wai Items)*
4:50 1 apple
9:00* 1 steamed orange, 200 ml red bean soup with ginger + sugar.
17:00* purple rice + 1 egg white, 2 egg yolks {the restaurant placed 2 eggs with shell on the table (it is suppose to go with the soup); I was thrilled!}, kimchi, beansprouts, radish, beans, tofu, tofu soup, 1 mussel, grilled beef, rice. (restaurant not by choice).
20:00* 200 ml red bean soup with ginger + sugar

Sat Nov 14, 2015 (not Wai Items)*
5:00** 1 banana

17:00* 300 ml ginger + honey + warm water
19:32 1 banana
19:47**
20:00* rice, ribs, bittermelon
20:25* 2 squares of dark chocolate
20:30**
---
* They each have their special items of what might stifle my coughs. I guess it can be annoying to them too. I think I only like the ginger honey.
** I woke up with a rash on the belly of my arm.
Later in the afternoon I checked my rash on my arm, it was mostly gone, but on the back of my hands and arms and legs there were splotched spots of skin.
The ones on the arms are fading away this evening, but the ones on the legs are still there.
A new splotch is on my arm now after dinner.
Maybe hives? I rarely have allergies (mangoes). I am usually quite good with my skin immune system, I have always ate mussels, while my sibling always ponders on shellfish because sometimes rashes appear from eating shellfish.
I ate so much bean and grain products yesterday and the day before, am I developing allergies to grains and beans?

Sun Nov 15, 2015 (not Wai Items)
5:00 rash on left arm gone, more on right arm,
9:00 2 squares of dark chocolate + 1 banana + 1 apple
12:10 after more sleep most of the spots on arms gone, a few left around both knee.
-- "Lunch is ready. They want you to eat."
- I wave my arm "look", "does that look like your shellfish allergy?"
-- "Are you going to tell them?"
- "No" "It will go away, and it will appear somewhere else in 2 hours. Here memorize this splotch. If I sleep it goes away. If I stay awake for like 30 min it slowly appears on my arms."
-- "yeah it moves around."
- "Did it last long?"
-- "no only like 2 days. Mine was a bigger blotch."
- "did it scar?"
--"no"
- "Do you get it everytime?"
-- "only for the cone shaped fish, it was only that once."
-- "are you itchy?"
- "not really"
13:00 1 cup of carrot,onion, potato soup.
15:00 80 g salmon
- "Look, at that all gone."
--"Yeah it is all gone."
- "Nothing on my arms.
--"How bout your knees?"
- " still there."
18:00 1 cup of carrot, onion, potato soup.
20:00 3 tomatoes
21:00 400 ml (3 oranges)
00:30 300 ml ginger, honey, water
00:45 2 squares of dark chocolate
1 - 8,10

I am getting splotches on both arms as I type. I should go back to sleep.
Yesterday I searched the diary section here for "hives" and it seems most people here wrote about hives along with eating eggs.
I did eat my first "raw egg white" on friday.
I did not know what to do with the egg white because there wasn't anywhere to put the egg whites (the soup had not arrived yet. I did not know the egg was for the soup.) I cracked it over the purple rice and thought the rice would be hot enough to cook the egg whites and the bag around the egg yolk. It didn't. Although I usually don't like the slimey-ness of egg whites (I usually rinse the egg yolks with water), on the rice the egg white did not taste too strange, and having read some people eating raw egg whites here without problems, I ate the raw egg whites for the first time this past friday. Maybe I should have done an experiment at home with egg whites instead of at restaurant. I did not know they served eggs raw. But then I should not trust their eggs, I don't know how they store their eggs.
Maybe hives are about raw egg white proteins ingested.
Just a thought.
Don't know, maybe it could be the mussel. I've always ate lots of mussels without problem.

* I hope statistics is right that the average cough lasts for 17.8 days, because that would mean it will end around any time soon Nov 20?, I got my cough on Nov 2.
** At the moment I am too busy wiping a runny nose and coughing and not sleeping and sleeping to have the will power to do anything funny(serious) with eating, including defending my plate from cooked foods.
Just to humor them I am doing it their way (for a few days, and if the stars and moon align that the statistics will match the end of a cough with their method, I'll just laugh inside | It will however be more difficult to transition back to less-cookedness to convince others, if they believe cooked is right.). I doubt it will stop the cough. But I need this coughing-runny-nose business to end because it is very annoying.
They seem to have the perception that because I am sick that means the diet I am eating is not working.
But in all honesty I have not ate the diet (definitely not in October and not in November 2015),
it only appears that way because I do not touch their foods.
I have not ate the diet {possibly have never ate the diet}, because I have not eaten enough items from it, and consecutively, and properly.
I have only kept a stream of items from the diet, which is quite different from eating the diet.
Which brings me back to the concept that I had in the beginning to switch gradually over diets: acclimatize-aytundra.
It is unknown how long others that are 100% have pursued over in a switch over from their old diets to eating this way.
It seems to be some are quite fast with the cold turkey method.
While others seems gradual, i.e. I read on the forum some people saying they have read the forum for awhile (months years before switching-i-mean-starting, and from those it seems I don't know if they have actually succeeded in the long run.).
To 100% dieters?
I have a question: How long did it take you to go 100%?

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Strictly adhering to a diet was always easy for me.Aytundra wrote:How long did it take you to go 100%?
At one point (before the diet) i started experimenting with consuming only apples, oil, sugar and free amino acids for 3 motnhs.
It was easy for me because i had a clear goal in mind (the experiment).
Once starting the Wai diet it was also easy for me because again i had a clear goal in mind: being acne-free, which was a big deal for me.
Starting WaiWarrior it was easy for me, because once again i had a clear goal in mind: health
For me that has to do with:
- not giving a shit about social conventions
- not caring for food as part of a social activity
- stubborness
- the idea that if you want something, you got to give it 100%
Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
After 3 months on a "standard" raw diet (with occasional cheats because of social dinners), I switched to a 100% Wai diet from one day to the next (no cheats). From Wai Regular to Wai Warrior took me a week or two (iirc) to get to an 8 hr eating window.

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet) not The Straw House
Emeira once (this past Sept) asked me {badgered-in-my-perspective (trying to shake out the why of why I write this diary, which I have not given)} if I think eating this diet is better than any other option. My response went off topic as usual, I replied with:
"...Like brick house is better than wood or straw right? Seldom is a wood or straw better than brick, right?..."
I am sure all of you know the classic story "The Three Little Pigs."
I never asked for an objective (what wolf/huffs and puffs that motivates you enough to build a house, or what Piggy made you go build a dream castle). Nor did I ever ask for what the pigs will do for shopping and entertainment? Build a brick tunnel to the supermarket and never see the sun or any outdoor dwelling piggies to avoid a wolf?
I only asked for time.
How long does it take those successful piggies to switch building supplies, to a new one that the piggy chose?
Oh well, more info the better.
So it takes 3 months to switch supplies, for those stubborn alien piggies.
Ice = goals/experiments | no clear objective ({like really? no objective!?} no reason to eat this way? {My turn to badger})
Mud = stubborn | alien (implies it is immune to settings)
I wonder what those shark vampire piggies did, if they did.?
Not sure what kind of pig I am, I think it boils down to the equation that makes Icemud the cement-stuff that holds the building materials together.
Even if you have the best building materials, without the proper Icemud, nothing gets built.
I am sure wood and straw might be an exception: as wood can be chiselled to fit without glue, and straw woven to hold without glue too; but stronger is the structure if plastered with waterproof materials, like how tree gum can make a log canoe waterproof.
If you went for glass and metal you need molten metal to get the nuts and bolts to hold everything together.
How do you make Icemud?
Are there special techniques required to work with Icemud? (i.e. cement dries, and once it dries, there is no going back unless you try to break it and rebuild.)
Afaik, Icemud needs minimum 3 months to make according to the successful piggies;
and minimum 2 weeks (if restarting a batch of Icemud for limited time building version -->WW).

11:30* 1 spoon of penne pasta + 4 sticks of cucumbers
13:00* broccoli, cauliflower, carrot + 12 potato balls + half a chicken, 1 caramel chocolate bar 50 g {and I am failing horribly, food was self-bought and self-selected and store was by choice, by curiosity from seeing food from there, that I had never tried, from that new place, several weeks ago.}
15:30 skipped snack {finally a day I was tasked, and could shy away from snack duty}
16:45* left over veggies from my lunch + 2 caramel chocolate bar (2 x 50 g) + 1 apple + 1 dark chocolate square.
20:00* 1 cup of rice + left over chicken from my lunch,

Statistics was pretty close, cough is like almost gone; I am feeling like 60% my self today.
If I move back to Wai Items, I really need to increase my calories and protein, 3 chocolate bars in a day is like so much... not to mention half a chicken and some salmon.

13:00* broccoli, cauliflower, carrot + 12 potato balls + half a chicken, 1 caramel chocolate bar 50 g {and I am failing horribly, food was self-bought and self-selected and store was by choice, by curiosity from seeing food from there, that I had never tried, from that new place, several weeks ago.}
15:30 skipped snack {finally a day I was tasked, and could shy away from snack duty}
16:45* left over veggies from my lunch + 2 caramel chocolate bar (2 x 50 g) + 1 apple + 1 dark chocolate square.
20:00* 1 cup of rice + left over chicken from my lunch,
20:30 1 apple
---
Statistics was pretty close, cough is like almost gone; I am feeling like 60% my self today.
If I move back to Wai Items, I really need to increase my calories and protein, 3 chocolate bars in a day is like so much... not to mention half a chicken and some salmon.
A tundra where will we be without trees? Thannnks!
Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet)
Oh that's icemud...it's actually a product? you don't need weeks to make?
hahaha
didn't know what it was, googling it, ironically, the product seems to remove acne.
i am sure you don't want to be caught by the invisible-forum-police,
iirc they tend to delete everything not in-line with the diet.
Meanwhile,
eew it smells,
it reeks of masculine cleaning product smell
scent sensitive,
i don't like washroom products, near the kitchen, food areas, or food diaries...etc.
it is a food diary, and,
no advertisements please.
[holds nose] runs out....

10:00 1/2 purple yam + 1 spoon of sesame + 1/4 cup oatmeal {not liking breakfast, I still have that mild cough that is giving them an excuse to spike my foods with their foods}
11:00 1 apple, 1 square of dark chocolate
12:00 1 chocolate caramel bar { I don't like the caramel, mild burnt taste, whatever that taste is I can't describe, maybe it is called the caramel taste.}
13:00 1/2 cup rice, 80 g salmon
17:00 1/2 cup rice, chicken

Chocolate keeps me awake, egg yolks keeps me focused.

Re: Aytundra's Diary (not Wai diet) Nov 21 - 28
That is because this optimizes serotonin and dopamin activity, their turnovers strongly interacting.Aytundra wrote:I absolutely adore the concentration ability I have after eating egg yolks, dark chocolate and apples.
The sugar (apples) enables the uptake of tryptophan (for serotonin) and tyrosine (for dopamin) in the brain. Sugar consumption may also enhance sensitivity of dopamine receptors.
The cholesterol in egg yolks activates serotonin receptors, and yolks are also high in tyrosine (Tyr/protein ratio is 4.6%; for dopamin), and also a bit high in tryptophan (Trp/protein is 1.8% compared to 1.2% in human body)
Tryptamin (chocolate) activates both serotonin and dopamine receptors.
You are probably relatively susceptible due to relative low food/energy intakes potentiating dopamine response and functional supersensitivity of serotonin receptors. Food restriction also increases the permeability of the blood–brain barrier.
Because of the caffeine and theobromine in chocolate.Chocolate keeps me awake
